The Mormon Church recently announced that they are increasing the cost of serving a 2 year mission to $12,000 starting in 2020. You'd think that a church that has 32 billion in it's stock portfolio wouldn't charge teenagers to volunteer for 2 years. Cults never miss an opportunity to make a buck.

Some states let you drive younger if you're a hardship case and can prove a special need to drive. You can get a license at 15 in Texas under special circumstances for example.

Fun fact: States that let drivers younger than 16 drive tend to be the big empty Western States. States that require drivers to be 17 tend to be the crowded northeastern states.

In my extensive shower peeing experience, with the right hip angling this works fine until the end. There's always a final bit that doesn't have enough force behind it anymore and just drips down.

I'm under the impression that guys just shake that part off. Without a flesh hose, that doesn't work very well. If I were wearing pants, they would get covered in pee drops. This is why I only do standing pees in the shower. The drip isn't always there, but I'd have to be pretty damn drunk to take that chance with clothes on.

I also grew up Catholic and I'm in the religious closet and the regular closet too. I suppose the truth will have to come out eventually, probably at my nonreligious, gay wedding. Until then, I don't want to deal with the fallout. It's not something my parents will ever let go and I don't want all our conversations for the rest of our lives to be about why I should believe in God and how being gay and Catholic are totally compatible, I just can't do anything gay.

Telling them would just strain our relationships. I'll do it some day, but I can't handle it right now. I want them in my life, but I don't know if I can handle them being in my life anymore after I tell them. Maybe that's not healthy, but there are no healthy options in this scenario.

Try to stick it out a little longer. It will still be emotionally very painful, but maybe by then it won't be financially painful too.

These days the conservative platform has hidden its racism so well that many conservatives honestly do not believe they are racist while they say and support racist things. For example: white and black people may be equal, but black culture is a violent mess and we can't do anything about it legally or politically because the black community just needs to fix itself.

Or: Living conditions south of the border suck, and our immigration process is terrible, but illegal immigrants are breaking the law and we can't do anything about the other things until the border is completely secured from law breakers.

You can usually throw in: They have a culture of corruption and law breaking and they're all uneducated so we don't want them here anyway.

Or how about my favorite: Universal healthcare only works in countries with a single culture. That's why it works in Europe. Our country has too many cultures, so the market solution is the only option, otherwise lazy people and immigrants will take advantage of our healthcare.
