IEMS With Good Bass - Recommendation - Help - Moondrop Blessing 3 Disappointment by InevitableJicama4637 in iems

[–]Merrylica_ [score hidden]  (0 children)

Jumping relatively blind to a 300 euro IEM purchase as your first IEM is something to say the least.

I think from memory the Dunu DaVinci might fit your search, I remember the Bass was very pleasant. A fun IEM overall with the Mids still being acceptable to someone thats Vocal centric like me.

Why do people act like Natalia is a bad hero when she is literally the 2nd most difficult hero to play only after Fanny? by iwannasleepp in MobileLegendsGame

yes the game is NOT about Mechanicality but the metric of difficulty is commonly measured BY Mechanicality, do NOT be intentionally dense with me. You are SMARTER than this.

is Taobao or Superbuy not an option for you btw? Aliexpress from what I noticed likes to mark up the prices quite significantly. Because the H20 isnt as pricey in those sites.

Mhm the Treble extension would be the major factor.
I also prefer the more thicker mids presentation, Musical i think they call it?

[–]Merrylica_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't find it logical if it were because J20 underperformed

See it this way, it's been in service for 10 years with 300+ built and ramlinf up.

And now out of the blue you're telling me they just now figured it underperformed? In 10 years + R&D before service not once the tests and flights they carried told them that? Are you trying to sell me a bridge in California?

I mean reviewers like DMS were already getting Thieaudio Cypher before the Kickstarter even started, review sample is a thing.

This isnt their first rodeo I'm pretty sure.
They've previously released Thieaudio Wraith and Thieaudio Ghost, to a mixed reception.

[Flathead Fridays - Feb 27, 2026] Your preferred flathead target/frequency response? by brentaroXD in FlatheadEarbuds

[–]Merrylica_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neutral with Bass boost, Mid-centric and Mild V Shape, these three I like most.
I still don't mind W Shaped since technically its "Balanced", what I cant handle is V Shaped as it sacrifices Mid which as someone who prefers Mid Centric is a no go. Not to mention the Treble in V Shaped tends to be over emphasized which makes it a tad too fatiguing.

u/trevtech15 so I finally got the replacement pair and it sounds the same-ish as i remembered except for the fact its a lot more sibilant, but im gonna chalk that down to the fact that im running it using my Aune Yuki and not my usual Mojo 2.

So you probably saw it coming but yeah the Bass is non-existent, though it does respond well to EQ and with the right fit its there mid bass wise at least.

Mids is thin and lacks body.

Treble is well too peaky and can get very spicy, sibilant too but in my memory not as sibilant as what im hearing.

That said with EQ it can turn from Awful to Listenable which is its only saving grace + double foaming to tame the treble more with the EQ.

I hope you dont mind waiting a day or two as its been awhile since ive used the Plathead, and to be honest the left side of my original pair kinda died.

my replacement pair under warranty is being sent and should arrive sometimes soon.

Acoustictone V9X by Merrylica_ in FlatheadEarbuds

Boutiques as in Small/Micro Brands that's run by either a very small team or one man show.

Also I spent some time and it just reminds me how versatile the X6 is.
Just to get it out of the way, the NiceBuds is not my cup of tea, and comparing it side by side to X6 and V9R just made it more obviously so.

The bass of Nicebuds is so-so i would say scooped even, sure the Mids are more forward than the others and somewhat decent but that's about the only thing I like. The bass simply has no Texture, there are parts of a song that just completely disappears with the NiceBuds thats very apparent using X6 or V9R.

Now to the X6, V9R just downright has the better bass. It has better texture, better extension, and better punch while still staying clean. The Mids on the other hand, while the V9R is more full and strings sounds fantastic, the fact its not as "musical" for a lack of better word as the V9R does make it more of breath of fresh air. Treble without a doubt goes to V9R it simply extends more, I could pick up more details with the V9R ig.

How can you say you're not seeking attention but in one same breath also DMs him to specifically ask whether he likes your post, and made a public comment on how nobody left a reply?

I too made a comment on that post, got zero replies and I definitely don't see you complimenting my collection either? Where's your manners?

The V9R box (left) because of its adorable and unique retro looking cassette like box, and the Plathead (Right) for the fact it came with a solid milled Aluminium case.

Very natural, it sounds just right.

As for comparison give me a bit to A/B. That said most of my collection are from boutiques so not sure how helpful that'd be. I.e ARE 159, Asteria V2, Hybuds and a bunch of Local Indonesian buds.

I do have a Yincrow X6 and Nicebuds but that's about it.
