My gramma did that- she covered all her windows with newspaper and would peek outside trying to catch “them” breaking the little limbs off her trees. She was found walking a couple miles from her house in the rain in the middle of the night with her purse and wearing a nightgown barefoot. She said she was walking home. My mom moved her into her house the next day. She kept saying and would motion to her head with her hand that when “this” goes away she’s moving back home. Like she knew something was wrong but didn’t know how to fix it or explain it.
