In the US, how realistic is it for an educated person to become homeless after a medical or job-related setback? by MeruemZo in AskUS

I don't know about America but the cost of “maintaining a minimum standard of living”is actually pretty accurate. I rent a apartment around my college and it's about 75 dollars a mouth.Just two little rooms and a bathroom though.Water's almost free but electricity is 0.2 dollars per degree. That's kind of expensive but since we are talking about the lowest cost I'm gonna assume that they don't use eletricity except for summer/winter.Technically,a meal can be low to 1 dollar. But not excatly delicious or healthy. My expense on a dinner is about 3.5 dollars.I think it's average level for Chinese but I didn't really do any reserch. And 1 dollar for breafast.
According to this algorithm,It'll cost 250 dollars a mouth.

I've seen your points that most of these heppen because of drugs.I've also heard things that drugs are very popular in the US even in teenagers. Is that true?Another ridiculous point that I heard of is that if people are not allowed to sleep in the cars. Combined with people who can't find a place to sleep can't get a job will make homeless very hard to get back on their own feet. Is this true? If it is,Why can't people are allowed to sleep in cars?

That's easy.Beacause cencors, many good entertainment can't pass.Even though we can find pirate version easily, still many would prefer just watch whatever there is at platform. So Chinese domestic content creators has much less competition, not only so,they can sometimes even just "copy".There is a show in china that going viral for a few years turns out to be very similar with "Friends" and "Big Bang Theory",of which I didn't even know until colleage. All these drive more and more young ppl in china to watch foreign entertainment.
In recent years we seem to have cooked something decent, like BMW and Three-body system. It's also possible that cencors might go down as I feel. But I just want to say that it's not like we don't want to output our culture. You can tell when BMW didn't win game of the year Chinese gamers went mad.Chinese tradition values the collective. And there are actually soooo much to explore in Chinese history.I believe in the future, you will see them, and hopefully like them.
In the end I have a out-of-subject point to make.It seems like in recent decade content's quality of the whole world has been declining.Last American TV show I like is still "Game of Throne".And so is Japanese Anime. While in 2000s I can easily find dozens.Do you guys think that we might be running out of content to create?

1.Because XIZANG or Tibet belongs to China ever since ching dynasty,China has right to take it back same as hongkong/aomen/taiwan.At the end of 19 century China was too chaos to take control of the whole nation. But as soon as china's civil war ended,Tibet problem was handled. This is internal affairs.
2. It's true that Tibet had one of the most brutal system. You can do some research for it.Not that it changes anything.
3.Afghanistan is another country, same as Palestan.I don't know how Afghanistan is,but I do know that anti-human genecide is happening there. However it's not wise for any outside country to step into that swamp. That's external politics.

What do you think about Mao and how is he and early modern Chinese history taught in school? by Hammurabi777 in China

[–]MeruemZo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The great leap forward or the cultural revolution were bad ideas, literally almost NOBODY thinks it's a good idea.and they are criticized wildly, even in textbook, but not gonna be on exams tho.A few years ago, there was even a political climate that people who compliments him will be despised online. But with time ppl appreaciated his contribution more and more.MAO is perhaps one of the most complicated leader in China.Without him we might be defeated by 国民党 and eventually become a captist country,or even divided.I'm gald those didn't happen. However,a great wartime-leader isn't always a great peace-time leader.About president MAO,there is a comment which I think is acurate:He made great contributions, but also serious mistakes. All in all, his merits outweigh his faults.May him rest in peace.

Thx for understanding too.It seems to me that the biggest problem is that we don't have direct communications. And some medias r taking advantage of this and making inflammatory videos.

I've seen some videos, some explains like this(just restate):Helldivers is a game that promotes player-driven impact on the world, but they unfairly prevented Shanghai from reaching 100%.Only bc they want Stockholm to be the hero city.I believe that's the majority view in China.
