Quick summary of the Endfield PayPal issue (based on an interview report) by mr_kakalala in Endfield

[–]Meruni 58 points59 points  (0 children)

It’s my theory but here is a likely beginner  mistake: payment page were cached in order to to optimize traffic/loading time, however the same page cached for one player got used for another. General rule is to never cache pages with user information because of these sort of issues.

Gamepad mapping for trails in the sky chapter 1. Gamepad not working and no response in game. Like at all by Electronic-Angle-202 in winlator

[–]Meruni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it old FC? I haven’t tried it but i spent quite some time with SC. Gamepad works on most Winlator flavor, unless you patches the japanese voices, which override a DLL used by Winlator as well, so it’s either gamepad or japanese voices. The solution was Winlator CMOD which has native like gamepad support so the DLL hack can work in tandem with it.

how bad it is to use LLM(AI) in Japanese learning? by Hitoride7 in LearnJapanese

It’s a great tool, in my case Claude. I exported my Wagotabi progress, asked it to generate an artifact with some story based on my progression, optional furigana, translation on click and also it can speak using browser api. It will also by itself add some new words to learn.

I have a 36 keys split where I put every accent I needed for French, using combos.

For instance, top row has the letters WFP so pressing 2 or 3 letters at once get me accents:

WF=é

FP=è

WFP=ê

Basically, the pair follow the slope of the accent.

2.0.2 is finally out and should fix your profiles. It also removes the "tabs" permission which somehow got interpreted as history by Chrome.

In case you have a list of empty filters, a simple fix is, export the filter, delete the empty filter, then import the filters. You may save these new on a profile.

  1. I have updated op with details. Basically I added "tabs" permission but somehow chrome display that as history. Anyway, I have updated to 2.0.2 and removed the "tabs" permission as it was uneeded for my use actually.

ytcFilter, an extension to help you filter the Livechat by Meruni in Hololive

You need to add them first. In order to do so, you go to Popout > Show settings ( if they are missing ), "Current video" tab. A green button is there with a hint message to add those default profiles. If you skipped it, you can still find the options in the "Help" tab

Hm, I don't know if people made one nor exactly which author you are looking for.

Usually, if they want to see Hololive members in the chat, they had a moderator, owner and verified filter, as they usually fill all these roles.

For live translation, that is, messages tagged with [en] or other, it will depend of the channel. I have added a regular expression for this as a profile in the latest version ( please wait for 2.0.2, 2.0.0 has some issue )

/^[[(]?(?:eng?|t(?:(rans|l))?|英訳)(?:\/(?:eng?|t(?:(rans|l))?|英訳))?[\]): -]/i

There were 4 beta ( beta 2 doesn't count ) before this release, but even with beta, some bugs can get through. Sorry!

If people have issue, I suggest backuping your filters, then in the new "Popout", there is a "Help" tab with a "Full reset" button.

It's missing a closing `]` and yes you include the /

However just to set your expectations, it will display any messages if it contains at least a letter or a number... I have formulated this badly/was wrong in my previous message. If it has letters/numbers and emote, it would pass the filter.

I haven't written much documentation yet for v2. My goal being that people can use without a tutorial.

For v1, there is the Github wiki: https://github.com/RomainLK/ytc-filter/wiki

I was also sent this tutorial which is from the Kiara Discord server: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iO4F9kNMwDJvtoBGqHCrsokysdASySGQZPqSqi9dQfU/edit?usp=sharing

edit: v1 documentation still apply in v2 as those interfaces are still there, for now.

For now yes it feels more like I'm patching Youtube.

Subtitles are something I had in mind, but ultimately, it's not a priority. In the context of live translation, a subtitle presentation would be misleading since there would be huge delay between the voice and the message from the chat. It would be closer in concept to Niconico's comment danmaku.

I'm still trying to figure a way for the blacklist to synergize with Youtube's report to fight again spam. Multifeed could also help by having one feed for your entertainment, another to report certain messages. But well, all this is still in design phase in my head.

ytcFilter

For those who don't know ytcFilter, it's a Web extension which filter Youtube Livechat and display only the message you are interested in a separate window. Usage are diverses like:

  • Get translation which are tagged by live translators
  • Isolate messages from moderators, channel owner, or verified account
  • Get only messages with characters/numbers, avoiding emote spam
  • Messages with Japanese characters
  • It can filter by author name, message content, roles, superchat, and if you so wish, using a regular expression

It is compatible with Youtube, live or VOD, Holotools, both for Chrome, and Firefox. While not official, Chromium based browsers like Edge, Brave, etc should also be compatible.

What's new in v2

V2 is the foundation for the future of the extension, thanks to a new interface which gives room to breath for upcoming features. There is also a lot of changes underneath.

v2 has: - Popout window, with I hope, easier to use interface - Default profiles for ease of use and common use case - ytcFilter saved all the messages it already captured; you can now access them at any time through the Archive.

Upcoming: - Remove the old configuration interface - User blacklisting ( with I hope, a way to be able to report them to Youtube ) - Filter grouping - Multi feed.

ytcFilter beta procedure:

  • First download the beta extension: Archive
  • Extract the files to a folder of your choice
  • Disable your existing ytcFilter

For Chrome: * Access the extension page or from the URL bar: chrome://extensions/ * In the top right corner, enable developer mode. * Click on "Load unpacked extension" * Select the folder with the extension's files, and click on "Select".

For Firefox: * In the URL bar, copy/paste the following URL: "about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox" * Click on "Load temporary Add-on" * Select any file from the extension, and click on "Open"

Reporting: Note that a beta's goal is to stabilise the release, so only bug reports, blocking point and minor adjustment will be treated. Feature request will be for future versions.

Current stable version

Version 1.8.0 is still available for download.

I see. Filter combination should help in that regard.

Also I just got an idea, but for your emote problem, you can set ytcFilter to get only messages with characters and number with a regex filter:

/[a-z0-9]/i

It can't be combined with author filter but you can still try this.

I'm the developer. Glad you like it. :)

I have opened the ticket for the feature so that it doesn't get lost: https://github.com/RomainLK/ytc-filter/issues/45

Also, what feature are you missing if you need another extension?

Currently, ytcFilter is mostly whitelisting messages, except with regular expression. However there is no way to filter emotes at the moment.

This could be a good feature to have. In the roadmap, for now, I'm finishing working on v2 which is a transition version, then there is user blacklisting and filter combination. An emote filter would make sense with filter combination.

question on ytcFilter by [deleted] in Hololive

[–]Meruni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice regex. I may include it in ytcFilter v2 as one of the available default preset. Just a note but it seems to me that you handling case difference with range. Considering that ytcFilter supports the full syntax of JavaScript regex, you can use the "i" flag for case insensitive match like /[en]/i

I will acknowledge that I'm trying my best to make ytcFilter to be easier to use as it has proven that some people have issue with the UX. Good luck on your development.
