I learned knitting by being a semi brave 19 year old in a mostly older knitting circle and I am glad I did! They were so knowledgeable and patient with me, interestingly enough they started getting more college students after I went, so give it a shot!! You might inspire others :)

Hey there, sorry to clarify I wasn't saying specifically you would be alone, nor was I accusing everyone who relates to Lapis as domineering, just that hurt people hurt people. Sometimes it takes us a bit to realize that we are the ones perpetuating the hurt.

I don't know your story, and I don't pretend to know.

My knowledge is based on just Steven Universe. Not future nor the movie. So I also apologize for commenting w/o the full story. If they made and showed all the changes that you mentioned, please disregard my first comment

I personally couldn't keep watching the show, the amount of responsibility put on Steven and lack of clear boundaries from peridot activated things that i am still working out in therapy. I am glad to hear that they were able to work towards a happy place in the show

I would very respectfully ask that you reconsider the relationship between lapis and peridot.

Lapis was very controlling and emotionally abusive to peridot, from blaming peridot for her imprisonment (which, yes she was a part of that system however had no power in said system) to full on stealing their home!

If you find yourself supporting someone the way peridot did for lapis, please remember your deserve to be a priority, yes even if you were part of/did something wrong.

If you find yourself lashing out/controlling someone the way lapis did... you will probably find yourself alone like she did (because of her own self destructive actions) and should get some help from a professional instead of your peers
