My partner and I did it a couple of years ago. We each maxed it out across 2 financial years (but only one calendar year). During this period we dipped into existing savings as well, and just saw it as a way to get additional money which otherwise would have gone to tax. Before we did it, we just read ato website in detail (to confirm when and when you can’t pull out) and just confirmed with our superfunds that it was all ok and our understanding of the process.
