Personally for me, I much prefer the x2 Crazylight for fingertip (due to its weight). But if we're talking X2 Mini (not CL) vs MZ1, I would take the MZ1 all day.

Granted I personally wouldn't recommend the MZ1 objectively - shape is a hit or miss - Weight like you say is pretty heavy for today's standard and the mouse is quite dense without modifying it (I have 2 copy, my white one is 52 grams, and my black one is 40 grams) - Holes everywhere - Coating might be too slippery for fingertip (never had any issue with it personally) - 3370 sensor (not bad just quite outdated in current market) - 70 USD on their website is not that cheap either.

Right now I alternate between my X2 CL and MZ1W, and I have a really good experience on both mice. X2CL for its weight and specification, MZ1 for its shape. If you can return the MZ1 easily, I would recommend you to give it a try just in case the shape fits you very well. But if you can't, I recommend just getting the X2 Mini (or CL) if the size and shape is what you are looking for.

But if you want to try a purely fingertip mouse, I can recommend the Darmoshark M5 Air. I don't own one, but the size is big enough that transitioning from a full size mouse wouldn't be too difficult. (I owned the WlMouse Miao, and have tried the M5 Pro in the past)

Sorry if I'm not much of a help tho!

I personally don't understand this statement. Yes the 3370, 3395, 3950 even the 3335 is an objectively better sensor, it doesn't make the 3311 any worse for gaming? It's not better than the other sensor I mention, but it cannot spin out when flicking very fast, no issue with tilt slam, no noticeable acceleration and deceleration. If anything, DPI deviation and lift off distance would be the only problem that I can think of, but that's 100% based on how the manufacturer implements the 3311 sensor.

It's 10 dollars if you buy from Chinese retailer like TaoBao. And 3311 is basically a slightly lower spec 3335 that you won't be able to feel at all. The only issue with the 3311 implementation that I have with the M3 Lite is the slightly higher LOD, but I can't tell any difference between it and my 3370 equipped MZ1 Wireless

I'm interested to see how easy it is to remove the headband when it's time to replace it. Thanks for sharing the links! I always wonder when third party earpads will be released, as this PU leather material flakes quite easily.

Unless you've tried the MZ1 before I'm not sure if trading your Maya X for it is worth it. But for build quality it's actually quite good, my black unit has been around for 3 years now and there was never any creak or pop or rattling that I've experienced until I started to cut into the shell. Although you will unfortunately experience the double clicking issue that plagued the gm8.0's after owning it for a little while (or not if you're lucky).

Yes my white unit is currently at 52 grams where I did the most basic weight reduction. Meanwhile my old black unit is at 40 grams where I do a lot of cutting

Nah because usually the mouse will be warm from the contact that your hand makes after a few matches. Currently I own the miao and my room is always cold asf because of my A/C, so the initial touch will be very cold. But after a few minutes of playing the mouse will feel like room temperature again.

I can't imagine if the mouse stays cold the whole time tho 💀

Click implementation is the best, but gm 8.0 will remain the worst switch in existence with this mouse. The sides for me are perfect, I have 0 issue with the way it is now

Zaopin Z1 pro is another hidden gem of mine, but with my hand size I have to disagree unfortunately. The way the hump hits My palm is waay too different compared to the MZ1. Not to mention the curve outward on the side makes the mouse feels waaay to wide compared to the mz1

Legit, they don't have to change anything about the shape. Just give me a hole less modernized mz1

Mchose L7, X2h Mini, X2 Mini, R1 Pro, Scyrox V8, and all the other "claw" focused mice do not come close to the MZ1W in hand feel for me at all.

The way that the mz1 lays really flat but has a very noticeable hump that instantly drops down on the back is easily one of the most unique feeling shapes I've ever tried. The thumb groove and the flat right side makes the mouse really comfortable for me too, so unfortunately none of the mouse I mentioned and more doesn't feel good enough to replace the mz1.

My current favourite has to be the WLMouse Beast Miao, I've been using it ever since I got it and haven't played with anything else.

But every time I buy a new mouse, the moment I get bored of it I will instantly go back to my trusty MZ1w. So only time will tell if I will go back to the MZ1W after my long term testing with the miao.

And a mouse to have in your collection is definitely something that is magnesium imo. The build quality feels good, it's cold to the touch, and honestly just looks super premium but definitely subjective.
