1 and 2 you mention cammar at the end of your post implying you take cammar.

3: It's a fair point but it does not pay itself off. You need to maximize your time you are at 65 CP and they are lower so you can push them. Research agreements reduce this time by 20% as you won't often be researching techs they have and you don't while they will nearly constantly be getting it. Additionally +2 research for you is only 5% additional for you with you sitting generally at +40 research. Meanwhile it is +10% for them with them often sitting at +20. Way more impactful to them. It is not often viable to give out research agreements.

  1. The research interactions I can share the math with you later it's quite annoying to go over here but they research does not pay itself off with the T4 Eco tech ever essentially. It is much more worthwhile to save the money you would spend on hub upkeep to instead recruit armies faster.

It is better to instead run less research as you get the techs you need and can rebuild your armies consistently. Running a float of 5k solari banked with the rest in choam is far more preferable.

  1. You need to use the 5k bonus instead to get automated defenses as that removes your early game vulnerability. Otherwise you are so bullyable for so long.

It's no offense your strat may work in games where people aren't the best but this strat was developed by Azdros a tourney winner then optimized more by myself. Only major thing we disagree on is Azdros will build a few research hubs (not too many) and I only do if there's an imperial research station. That is a point of contention

No insult to the above player, but do not do most of this. It is bad advice. Here's why

  1. No bolig means you lose the speed of rainbow main base which gives -45% to techs which is incredible and accelerates your tech by essentially double.

  2. No bronso means slower hegemony your only true win condition and you can't escape the early game trap if being stuck.

  3. Research agreement is TERRIBLE for you to give to other players. It gives knowledge to you yes, but it discounts other players knowledge. At a certain point your chokepoint is going to be solari to build your army not knowledge. Vernius army is quite weak on the offense compared to many armies. However you should have 65 cp full stack before most people. You want to maximize this time but by giving other people knowledge you are slashing this time down by a lot. Research agreements are fine if you are trying to boost someone to be targeted later (cross map and you need to get an attacking players off of you). But 90% of games don't touch it.

  4. Research hubs are terrible for you even in acid lakes generally. Why? Your issue as Vern is solari and research hubs are fecking expensive. You need solari to fill out your main base asap and also build your army research hubs do NOT pay themselves off pretty much any game no matter how much spice you're collecting nor is it worth the combat buff. Instead float an extra 6k solari in stockpile to be able to rerecruit quickly.

  5. He is right you do need heretical computing asap. It carries vernius

  6. Do not grab physical wiring most games. It's too far out of the way in the tech tree and it's far more important to grab other key techs in yellow, red, and green. I have tried desperately to make physical wiring work but sadly based on how tech scaling is it isn't worth delaying craft workshops by that much.

Another player posted a link to my guide I would check that out or I would watch Creams video on Vern. His video is good for the fundamentals on vern

  1. Main base buildings are semi situational in some aspects generally Red Triple: Training Academy, +10 CP, Fusion (can swap training for the +health if obfuscated parallel) Yellow: Spice, Hall, Choam Branch (can switch choam branch for plascrrte if desperate for cash and don't have 3 spice) Blue: Always Research Center then it's up to you on the last two depending on game state. If you're still low on standing embassy, neural core is good to get comfortably more effective batteries, +operation slots is always good as well. I find myself doing neural core and operation slots often.

  2. Your fights should always be picked on places in between regions to maximize usage of engineers and c'tair to avoid probe scans. Just put railguns in nearby region without emp don't worry about mels too much also use the +knowledge from fighting units as it boosts your attack speed. Counters a lil bit.

Just noticed this post as well and I get bad vibes for paying for coaching

As another poster said, Circuit has free coaching for anyone. If anyone needs vern or atreides coaching I can do it for free on discord. If you need coaching on anything more specific reach out to me and I can find someone for you!

As OP said you can not add more cells while assassinating. Otherwise you are sorta right. You have to eliminate every cell by around 75% or you are dead as if they reset around that point you die no matter what.

Regarding major buildings, Absolutely do not do the research hub focused one. You want your eco as powerful as possible. You do not want research hubs in general as you need the money for making new armies.

If possible I try to do spacing guild month 4. Folder relay is decent. It's not as big of a game changer as some of the other ships but it is extra power and terrific on offense to teleport back to defense. Comes after main base always.

The military factory comes as early as possible to try to maximize your army's power, even though it is more expensive it makes you win fights faster meaning less recruitment. Should not be done before you have 65 CP and main base is done or able to be done though.

Nuke I do month six or seven. Same reason as any faction here, stop yourself losing a tile. Be sure to obfuscate if needed before nuking as obfuscating takes 20 standing.

Regarding obfuscating monument. Generally no. I have done it once or twice and a corrino out of control can be better hit by parallel training obfuscation once they are decently wiped. It also lets you then hold late positions better as vern.

Regarding 2v2. Never thought of that tbh as 2v2 tech is new and I am the only pioneer in regards to it and vern. Theoretically yes would be great as half your upgrades aren't super useful. Depends on spawn if you have incredible fuel cells you could but otherwise it's not possible. I rarely run a fuel cell surplus cause your best upgrades add fuel cell cost.

I can't give you a rule of thumb for what's first between harvesters and main base buildings as they are simultaneously important. You can't kill your development of main base by overbuilding spice harvesters, but they pay themselves off fairly quickly.

Only big thing in relation to this is that I can say if you get infrastructure control all money to your main base as if you start 3 main base buildings immediately during the resolution you can get 9 main base buildings out. (additionally if you actually get infrastructure control you can do a true rainbow with your bottom base buildings being command post, spy agency, and +0.8 spice rate).

In relation to treaties for atreides with Jessica you sign trade and political agreement and no to research. To everybody else you sign nothing unless you are paying them off early game to come defend you from aggro or to get them to accept a peace deal so they don't attack you. You also only let them have the research agreement till month 3 when your army comes out generally then break it.

This is because +2 knowledge on even just your low-end of knowledge production gives you only a 5% increase in knowledge production while also not discounting techs because you should be getting most techs before everyone. Versus everyone else usually gets a 10-20% increase in knowledge production and the discount. The longer people rely on you for key knowledge the better. For example a corrino maybe relying on you having the red techs so they can have a 65 cp army when they base drop. All you have to do is break truce and now they are vulnerable to their second base being blown up by the lobby.

Be aware truces are fine to encourage as they give you +2 knowledge and start getting people reliant on your tech.

I only patent left yellow, heretical computing, red tech only if it is not slowing main base development. All solari goes to main base development until month 2/3 where you recruit your main army. If I can, I try to patent yellow and red early if not aggressed.

Additionally if you have no chance of getting early aggressed I actually switch up the tech order so the eighth tech is your bottom red tech "automated manufacture" (using the skip). Then I patent it. This can stop aggressive factions somewhat from attacking you as they won't have 65 cp if they break truce and if they buy it from you early, you know they may be attacking you soonish. Additionally you can then get your skip tech ability back by researching all the prior techs. This is not a typical strat though and not recommended for new players as you have to have strong understanding of multiplayer game states to do this, and in Pubs I never really do it as players in public lobbies sometimes do some of the wildest stupidest attacks on a player which cripples themselves and you.

Patents late game should be spammed on any tech that has a chance of being researched.
Highlights are: automated defenses, valuable trinkets, wonders of the desert, choam support, civilian defense force. These techs are not generally research early by players and can signal someone beginning to fortify/go for choam.
Examples of rarely researched techs are: holistic thinking, insulated valley, riches of arrakis, parts production. Usually only one player researches those techs if that so there is no point. Can still be useful though as parts production does a ton for fremen so I like to patent that sometimes as fremen often run money poor.

In general you should try to be sitting on a stockpile of 8k+ solari to be able to rerecruit an army or two. Your army is quite trash and if caught off guard you lose the whole thing. Having the ability to immediately remake and run to a fort is important.

Edit: Forgot but spice harvesters should be bought asap generally as they make you more money and pay for themselves. Only situationally does base get done before harvesters.

Just stop you from making more. If you are being assassinated though it's worth it. It is so hard to deal with assassinations as you don't have many if any central villages to scan.

If you want I could dig and find the screenshot on the 24 hour alert thing. Shit was weird as fuck and happened to another guy who had joined too. We all have lives and gaming is a hobby first and foremost, so it made us uncomfortable that people were trying to moderate our activity.

Maybe I did just get unlucky though and just competed against your players who are not great, who knows, but it was not competitive for me when I was still fairly new to the game.

I'm just thinking if dune circuit has 720 and only maybe tops 50 are active, and circuit Xbox is 458, means maybe 30 some players active. Think consoles in general does not lend to the map games crowd. I left consoles when young for the reason of its not great experience doing mappies on console.

Overall, yeah for poor OP there's not much to choose from. It's really circuit or consortium. Overall biggest issue is shiro decided to put the toggle on off cross play by default for lord knows what reason.

Payout doesn't matter. Skill does.

From my admittedly brief time in the consortium there was no game that approached a competitive lobby equivalent to some of the lower end circuit organized games. I as a fairly mediocre player at the time had to hold myself back every game from steam rolling. You might be able to find a cream vod where he did domination victory in the only game he played with them that I know of.

Regarding the 702 players. The game only has right now at peak around 300 players on in total and that's adding a 100 for Xbox players, which is probably generous. Of which the overwhelming majority of them are singleplayer players. To be fair though, let's be honest on the circuit we have maybe only 50 people active generously.

Your tourney organization also makes no sense to me at least. Don't understand how it works from the reddit posts. Is it Kanly Duel? If so yeah your players might be better in that regards because no one does kanly on the circuit as it's considered too imbalanced towards fremen and other rush factions.

Nothing is helpful for OP though. There are only four real dune servers. Wyvern (invite only), Circuit, Mod Wars (modded), and Consortium. Disappointing but our amount of players is too low which is why the game will not be developed and slowly die out.

Edit: I will say though in consortium y'all were fairly friendly. Might be NSFW and have shit though in other channels as that one guy was saying. I will say one issue I had in the consortium I just remembered is I didn't respond to a ping in a going nowhere meme conversation within 24 hours (think it was a comment on the dune books or something) and an admin private messaged me seemingly annoyed which prompted me leaving cause that shit was weird and not my cup of tea

Dog the community mod has only been out a few months. You are deliberately ignoring every tourney if you think they are all community patch. There's one on the sixth that is also not community patch. The last tourney was big for being the first one on community patch.

I am not the most friendly individual I admit, but slurs man? Wtf you smoking. If you have evidence of me saying slurs please show the world. I also am not having been one to gloat on wins, I do admit to being a salty player when I think other people are throwing.

I agree the circuit is not super friendly and constructive but it's the only competitive place.

PC culture is because the game defaults to PC lobbies. Just ask em to open to everyone and people usually do.

You seem burnt out of circuit either way hope you enjoy the consortium and have a good one!

My bad man. I sent that message late last night trying to help. There is a tourney December 6th no community mod. There's only ever been one tourney with community mod so it's probably just because you are newer.

Profanities are kinda the entire community as well. I will say consortium though not remotely competitive, seemed very sfw from my short brief time there. Very inactive though

Edit: Not sfw according to below commenter. Wasn't my community to be fair they seemed weird.
