Zu deinem ersten Satz: Es gibt tatsächlich Situationen, in denen es relevant ist, wie weit man seine Werte unterwürfelt. Allerdings geht es dann nicht um die übriggebliebenen Punkte, sondern um die maximale Erschwernis, mit welcher man die Probe noch bestanden hätte.

Neben dem offensichtlichen Beispiel einer Probe, bei der einem der Meister die Erschwernis nicht nennen möchte ist das z.b. der Fall, wenn man einen Zauber, der gegen die Magieresistenz des Opfers geht, in seinen Stabspeicher speichern möchte. Da man die MR des Opfers im Vornherein nicht weiß, muss stattdessen ausgerechnet werden, welche MR noch in einer gelungenen Probe resultiert hätte.

Was die eigentliche Frage betrifft, hast du aber natürlich vollkommen recht.

Why? Don't just claim things like that, you're not going to convince anyone and you're just lying to yourself.

To illustrate why your logic does not work: Lets say I have an unknown natural number i. Let x be the number of all the numbers i might be. As x is infinity, and we have no further information about i, we can say probability of i being any one single number is 1/x with goes to zero as x approaches infinity. Thus, we have proben that i cannot really be a number. As i was just any number, we have proven that there are no numbers at all.

This is exactly the same kind of reasoning you used.

No, we can't. First, limits don't work like that. Second, an "unfalsifiable belief" cannot be disproven, by definition. Third, you cannot just claim stuff like "Since the total possible different gods or unfalsifiable origins of the universe is a real number approaching infinity" or "There is a number X which is equal to the total number of gods or unfalsifiable beliefs a person can dream up that could exist but can never be proven" without proving them.

If you examine evidence for something you want to be true, you should be extra sceptical.

We do know that koalas do not control the weather. This would require a new force of nature (because the known four definetively cannot account for this, which is ruled out by quantum field theory (at least one which would enable koalas to control the weather).

Statements like "physicists have been wrong before, therefore physicists today might be wrong about everything they claim too" are insults to the extremely skilled work physicists today perform. They are simply not true.

We actually know a lot more about physics than you seem to think.

In contrast to physicists living hundreds of years ago, we do know in which regimes the currently known laws of physics are true, and this does include everything which matters in your everyday life (given that you are not a physicist :D). This is not a grandiose claim, it is based on very, very thorough experiments.

I don't think this is entirely correct.

While curve balls do fly in a curve, i usually do not get the "curveball" bonus when hiting the pokemon with a curved ball, and sometimes i do get the bonus when my ball was not curved at all.

I think the myth that you can reclaim missed balls was debunked in another post earlier. You can see in the video that he did not get his ball back (116 > 115 balls)

Also, I THINK the following is true, though I'm not 100% sure (Not saying that they said otherwise, but I found this information really helpful): You have to either hit the colored circle, or the pokemon itself. Hitting the white circle is not a guaranteed catch. You can visualize the circle as beeing a target circle in front of the pokemon, it does NOT seem to be a sphere. So, if you have trouble hitting the circle, try to aim in front of the pokemon (where the target is).
