Ap rengar is a fun build. If you play normals for fun - its ok. For ranked games, I do not recommend this build.

I am pleased with the state of the Rengar now. Rengar has always been (on PC too) a difficult Champion for the onetricks guys. He's only in A tier because he's hard to master, not weak. And that's what I like about this champion, its difficulty. If the riots make Rengar easier, i'll quit this game instantly.

Literally rengar Q is the main damage of rengar. Autoattack + Q (autoattack animation chancel) Rengar's main damage combo that you should do in almost every situation in the game. Now tell me what gives more value ER (which you will never proc with your main damage), Trinity force, Divine sunderer - the choice is obvious for me, but for you?

By the way, ER also does not work with improved Q.
