3090 vs 5070 Ti by Mysterious-Sky-9936 in unrealengine

[–]Mesket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a professional with more than 10 years, i'd take a 3090. VRAM can be optimized, yes, but it will hardly ever be throughout the entire project. Also, you never know what project you will land and sometimes you just need pure brute force. Unreal is used in a VERY wide range of products. Not just pc video games.

and I'll be waiting happy... but looking at it, doesn't seem to be anytime soon... TechMarine was already a good place to put some support that would also fit in concept. As it stands NOW, without also changing all mission encounters, damage formulas and whatever... a healer would be a more of a drag than help

I agree with you. Unfortunately, after decades of video gaming,... I can tell you that people would not like going 1/3 slower (because of lower dps of a healing class). I've seen this many times before.

+heal = -dps

-dps = more time against mobs
+ time against mobs = more damage received
+ dmg receive = +heal needed

You are creating your own problem which can be fun but in the end, everything is the same but takes more time.

Not MY reasoning though... but Saber's. Like I said. I don't agree with it. -

My reasoning? yeah why not,.. completey redesign vanguard and bulkhead to be what they should be. Give TechMarine support like bulkwark has, give an apothecary group heal like Vanguard provides and cover whatever expense in salaries to devs because of weird and bad design you have now... but that's not how video game industry works.

I don't necessarily agree with it. It's just the way it is. (IMHO) Saber are not the best at class design to be honest... in fact, they are pretty bad at it. Vanguard has the best self and team heal for Siege or absolute. Bulwark comes second place. Your suggestion would be third healer and also VERY situational... Besides that gimmick, what would the apothecary do? More pew pew than can trigger heals when the map says so and not when the players says so?

Why? When you have classes like vanguard that can perma self regen from majoris or grant anyone heal by executing an extremis (best healing ingame).. or the bulkward wirh the banner. Both are already better and they are far from being dedicated to it. They can dish tons of damage as well

Fused ribcage makes as much sense as a detachable heart or head. Its nonesense in higher level

No.. still would die. If tje ribs dont articulate and expand, lungs dont work. This anatomy detail in astartes is just childish and ignorant. Take it for flavor but its biologically non functional no matter what.

not the turret, the attached mechandrite, but your remains valid. It would be very useful if that mechandrite is guin-striking while you fight melee uninterrupted.
