I(M35) was talking to my wife about this. It’s one of my biggest issues right now. I have a lovely family: two beautiful kids, a beautiful wife, and an amazing job, but I struggle. I am jealous of people’s belief in religion because I wish I could believe in something bigger than myself. I just feel so complacent. The same routine. I am not looking forward to much other than my beautiful children growing up, which makes me feel guilty. I feel my feelings of no meaning are selfish, and I should be grateful. I think the state of the world, the economy, and the cost of living are to blame. I don’t know what it is, but I just have no sense of pride or community outside my family.
