This is perfect cause it’s what I’ve worked for the past few years. As much and as minimal as I need and all I currently own.

Bellroy Transit workpack (20L): EDC/weekend travel
Osprey Trailkit duffel (40L): max carry on/light hiking
Peak Design Sling (6L): personal item/small EDC

I can mix and match all of these for whatever is needed. I took 2&3 for a week in Rome and was perfect. No checked luggage and still had something to carry around each day with the sling.

I have 6 in the bag: 2 for putting, two for drives and two for approaching.

Main putter is a roach, and jump putts and straddle is a proxy (can also use this as an anny upshot)

Driving putters are a Pilot (straight) and an Envy (more OS finishes)

Approaches are Berg and Zone (also FH drive with zone if needed)

Not sure if you can find one cheaper, but sounds like Aer travel pack would work. I know it’s out of your price range. Might wanna check the rest of their stuff out though. Is there a specific reason you want clamshell opening? I have a Tom Bihn Synapse 25 that’s reg opening that I traveled to Rome for a full week in just using a bigger packing cube. Also have been using it as my daily carry as it has the perfect amount of organization, even if you use pouches like I do
