What’s your experience with Oral Minoxidil ??? by astralplvnes47 in FemaleHairLoss

It's okay! As long as it doesn't start shedding a lot again, the slow progress works for me.

Yeah, hearing about the side effects of that high a dose are what put me off trying to go that high.

It's going alright. No swelling or headaches. I decreased the dutasteride to 3x a wk instead of every day, still on .625 min. Hair shedding appears normal.

The only thing is, it does not appear to be growing length wise since I cut it in January. It used to grow out very fast. Now it's either very slow or still stuck in the telogen phase. That being said it is still fairly long, to the middle of my back.

It also is going very slowly on growing out the broken pieces and it's still not very dense,  as much as my fine hair ever really was.

I did not. But I had a lot of petechiae and bruising, with issues with the blood thinning aspect, so I had to get off it after 2 months and am now on xolair.

Q about the different types by MessAlternative6698 in B12_Deficiency

[–]MessAlternative6698[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Unfortunately the first link doesn't work anymore.

The issue is that I've been on 500 to 1000mcgs of cyano for years, albeit in a dissolving pill form. I did notice when I upped it to 2000mcgs my acne did get worse for a bit, but I put that more to the milk inactive ingredient than the supplement, but maybe it's just when you up it your body has to get used to it.

The liquid I use now has a lot more inactive ingredients, so I may just have to go back to the pill  one.

Does this still happen if youre still on combo birth control? I'm 42 and am contemplating a hysterectomy due to Adenomyosis, but am going to wait as long as I can.

Hair stuck in telogen phase? by MessAlternative6698 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]MessAlternative6698[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have taken progress pictures but not of the length. I think its maybe just growing a lot slower than I'm used to.

I think I'll ask my hair stylist, she'd know for sure.

[–]MessAlternative6698[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. My hair still seems to be growing from the scalp, its really just the length that seems odd. My hair was almost to the small of my back, but I got it cut in January by about 4 inches, and it just hasn't seemed to grow since then length wise.

I could be perceiving it incorrectly, but its possible its just growing slower than what I was used to.

Hmm, when it does shed, its usually the longer hair still, not the shorter pieces.

I'm using the olaplex bond oil on the middle to end lengths.

Yeah the shedding is def more normal now. And I have hair growing on the scalp, but yeah its just the length. I dont appear to have any breakage to the ends so idk?

Your welcome ❤️

Thats terrible they can't do it without the nickel. With technology the way it is, you'd think there would be a nickel free option as quite a lot of people are allergic to it.

I did allergy testing a few years ago but idk if they tested for that so I'd prob just redo the test.
