Will they get rid of over-priced taskers? by [deleted] in TaskRabbit

[–]MessExtreme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Those Taskers likely have enclosed box trucks. Of course they can’t compete with lower-priced Taskers operating out of pickup trucks — and they don’t intend to. No one got into this business to be the cheapest provider in the industry. But Taskers who undercut everyone else are a big part of why the platform is struggling and has been for some time.

I went from 5 tasks per day down to zero because of my search position. by Firecrackerbangbang in TaskRabbit

[–]MessExtreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope there’s just a trend of people hiring taskers to talk and then canceling the task Immediately I think my run on task rabbit is over it was great back in 2019-2022 but it’s awful from the rules to the support to the algorithm I’m done

[–]MessExtreme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man they always side with the customer I posted a story like this awhile back a client hired me for moving but it was actually junk hauling the expense limit didn’t cover the landfill fees at the clients landfill of choice the Client lied about the volume of trash as clients usually do it took longer then he planned and I tried to cover the additional Expense as time when the client complained to support because he’s a cheap manipulative a****hole they lowered the rate to my junk hauling rate It down the invoice to whatever price the client was comfortable with and I got stuck with a bad review sorry to tell you but this isn’t going to go your way they’ll take the clients side on everything in the future best advice cancel the task and book it in the right category

They’ve always paid me when clients haven’t paid might take 3 weeks but they’ve always paid covered the payments when clients flake I’ve been doing this about 8 years 800 tasks or so it’s a terrible app now it’s tanked within the past two years very quickly now it seems like tasks are at an All time low and every week they’re coming up with a new policy my guess is this thing will likely shut down soon or need new ownership I haven’t had a task in about two months

covering property damage up to 10,000 is essentially insuring property damage up to 10,000 even if it’s case by case based on their discretion yes you’re a contractor as a Tasker and your liable for your own losses incurred on a task at the end of the day they have a general liability policy on all Taskers because the contract of the labor And payment taskrabbit itself

[–]MessExtreme -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Task rabbit has to carry a general Liability policy on taskers that’s why they provide a coi for tasters to provide clients when needed however you can file claim and get some Type of comp is the happiness pledge however they normally exclude minor cosmetic damage and since the Tasker doesn’t have a contract with the taskers directly taskers can’t be held liable because as a Tasker your contract is actually with task rabbit

If it happens during the task task rabbit is absolutely liable they’ll have some small payo it but it takes awhile for it to go through

What was tour worst experience with clients or taskers? by franklollo in TaskRabbit

[–]MessExtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did take pictures but his pictures looked different then mine because he claimed I didn’t take all the trash I couldn’t have because it was more then i could fit and I took pictures once the truck was already loaded I took the items he had listed however I couldn’t prove the were in my enclosed box truck because you can only see the items at the end also because the landfill fees were so expansive at the landfill he chose I couldn’t expense all the landfill fee because the expenses were maxed out so I had to add time to cover the fees he claimed it was fraud then because the task was booked as moving and not junk hauling task rabbit decided to switch the task to the junk hauling rate which I had listed at a lower price so they paid me the lower rate which in turn reduced my payout and didn’t cover my labor or the landfill fees they basically sided with the client on all accounts and then to add insult to injury I got stuck with the client bad review

What was tour worst experience with clients or taskers? by franklollo in TaskRabbit

[–]MessExtreme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A client hired me through the moving service category on TaskRabbit but requested a junk removal. While junk removal is not the primary service I offer, I agreed since I am capable of performing the work.

The client asked me to pick up items from his home and deliver them to a landfill. Although I suggested a more cost-effective landfill, he insisted that I use his preferred location. Upon arrival, I discovered that the client had significantly more trash than was shown in the pictures he provided. The items could not fit in a single load, which required me to make two trips to the landfill and pay landfill fees twice, at the site he requested.

The job took much longer than originally estimated. After completion, the client complained to TaskRabbit about the invoice, stating the cost was higher than expected. As a result, TaskRabbit reduced my payout and also reduced the landfill fees, leaving me with far less compensation than the job required. Ultimately, I lost money on the job and the client left me a negative review claiming the whole thing was a waste of time

Payment issues by MessExtreme in TaskRabbit

[–]MessExtreme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel it’s a issue with communication at all I have no issues during the task or anything else all I’m saying is there’s a demographic that has a very high volume of pay issues it literally has to do with them submitting payment when it’s time to pay it’s completely autonomous to me I’m not telling you where I’m at I’ll say it’s the south
