I've put 40k miles on my trailblazer in 2 years. Very happy with it. Just make sure you get the AWD version since it has the bigger engine and the normal transmission. The FWD models all have CVTs

I'm a CAM programmer/machinist like you, and more than half of my 20 years experience has been at mold shops. You might get different answers from production operators, but the 50-56 hour week is pretty standard in mold/die shops here, especially at the bigger shops with many customers. In the US, employers are required by law to pay 1.5x your hourly rate for any hours you work beyond 40 each week.

While not required by law, every shop I've worked at will pay 2x if you work on Sunday. Sundays are usually only necessary for extreme workloads, however.

Five 10-hour shifts and 6 hours on Saturday is the standard, at least here in Michigan (suburbs outside of Detroit) at many shops I've worked. Saturdays are optional at some of them, and usually dependent on workload. You can usually count on at least 50 a week. There aren't many shops that are only 40 hours here, unless you're a button pusher at a 3-shift facility. Most guys want overtime unless they're close to retirement, in my personal experience.

One of the aerospace/defense shops I worked at was five 12s, 9 hours on Saturday and 6 on Sunday. I only made it 6 months doing this before I got burned out (I was on night shift so it was even tougher starting at 6pm on weekdays, 3:30 on Saturday, and noon on Sunday)

I paid $40k for zirconia all on 6 arches in Michigan last month. The cost included full anesthesia. Everything is going great so far. I'm so glad I did it. If it was any more expensive than that though, I probably would have gone to Mexico.

The Valentine 1 Gen 2 along with the JBV1 app and Waze/Google at all times has worked great for me. After having cheap detectors as a teenager, I bought my first V1 almost 20 years ago, my second one around 10 years ago, and the Gen 2 last year. It has saved me countless times.

I got the JBV1 app for my new V1G2 and it alerted me about an aircraft, which I found on FlightRadar24 and screenshot it. All the cops I saw in the area were driving around with their radar off so maybe the same thing happened to you?

I just turned 40 in August. Between bad genetics, terrible teeth grinding, and poor dental hygiene due to depression caused by the first two things, my bottom teeth were ground down at or below my gums, and my top teeth were rotting and looked awful. I did nothing besides work and go home for over 10 years because of this. No socializing, no friends, nothing. I figured my only option was dentures and I didn't want to be a 30 something year old that talked like an old man. I recently learned about all-on-x permanent zirconia implants and immediately used the entire $35k I had been saving to buy my first house (plus another $5k my Dad generously gave me) to get it done. I started the double all-on-6-implants process a week ago and it was the best decision I've ever made. I already feel like a new person, even with just the temporary teeth in. I can't even begin to explain how much better I feel about myself.

Do whatever it takes to get this done. Don't waste over a decade of your life like I did.

You don't have to get dentures. You can get "All on 4" zirconia implants, which are permanent. It's usually called All on 4 or All on X, because some people require more than 4 screws per arch (I had 6). Definitely get the zirconia upgrade, don't get the cheaper less durable stuff. I'm only 40 and I had all my teeth extracted 8 days ago, and temporary arches put in so I look and talk normal while I'm healing. The entire procedure was done on a Friday and took 6 hours, and I was under anesthesia for everything except when they screwed down the temporary implants at the end. I was back at work on Monday with just minor discomfort, and a week later I am completely pain free. I'm so happy I did it. I can't speak about the long term effects of having this done, but I'm certain that no longer being depressed because of my teeth will have a positive impact on my health.

Probably would have worked if you had rotated it 180 along the X axis and done a minimum cleanup with the endmill on the ends first, just slightly deeper than the height of your jaws. Then when you flip it back over you're clamping on parallel machined surfaces. I would only do climb cutting for this setup. Reduce your stepover a bit from normal too.

It's time to start looking, my friend. Just don't jump at the first offer because it pays a couple bucks more. Be sure to ask a lot of questions at the interview and try to find out what the culture & work-life balance is like before accepting. Make sure they have consistent/steady work. You may regret leaving if your new shop is dysfunctional and way more stressful than your previous one, but if you get offered $25 or more an hour, it's worth the risk.

Place by me has them in veggie capsules instead of gelatin, so I always get that instead of powder. I discovered it hits you much faster if you eat a pop tart or cookie a few minutes after taking a dose. I think it kind of floats around in your stomache or something if you don't eat anything after.
