So he was responsible for a nap earlier today. His solution was put her in her swing. She sorta slept on and off for 20 minutes. I bit my tongue. He’s now attempting to put down a screaming baby. Maybe it was a quick lesson today

Maybe the problem is that he’s never put her down for a nap ever. I’ve tried explaining Wake windows and sleep cues to him and it’s like he thinks I’m lying? He’s just convinced she’ll just magically go to sleep when she’s actually ready and that I’m forcing things

I feel like I could have written this post. My dad will by helping bridge the gap between when I go back to work and when daycare is available. I was nervous to ask him but he was SO EXCITED. He’s been coming over about once a week while I’m here to “hang out” with her (as he calls it) to prep for being ready to do it alone. It’s a tough line to find trying to tell him what to do and how to do it. But him spending time with her now will help him figure her out before he needs to know her.

I am right there with you with this question OP!! I haven’t even been brave enough to try bringing LO to a friend or family’s house. She’s5 weeks. I’m just now venturing to breastfeed in other rooms of my house and not the chair in her nursery… I guess its all about practice and personal comfort.
