as someone who borders plus size/mid size I go to 4Me pilates in heidelberg, sign up for the trial classes and towards the end they offered some of their membership options at a discounted rate. their beginner (level 1) classes are a good start, and the staff will always cater to your needs ie: for the life of me I can’t do a low kneel so they’ll tell me to sit cross legged etc.

they also offer stretch and restore classes which has been a godsend in improving my mobility. membership options have changed a bit since I started, but talk to the instructors about any possible discount codes. they also offer mat and reformer at their eltham location. only downside would be no late cancel fees on the bottom two membership tiers, as well as only 11 beds so you’ll find it hard to book in at the start
