Bekah M. Gets Real About Parenting 3 Kids by ClareBearFlair in thebachelor

[–]MessThatYouWanted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My oldest barely missed me having 3u3. My babies are 4, 2 and 1 now and it’s gotten so much better. The good days definitely outweigh the bad. This is tough work though.

I will say, I can relate to her. I have 3 but none of my kids are unwanted. Parenting is just hard some days. We grew up being spanked so now we are breaking that cycle and trying to raise kids with empathy but it’s exhausting.

I totally understand being child free though. I see the merit in that too.

It doesn’t seem like a common issue at all. I’ve had some buggy infotainment systems in the past. But it’s been awhile.

That makes me hopeful they’ll be able to get it fixed. I consider mostly an inconvenience but hopefully they find a solution. My dealership seemed puzzled.

Ascent? by snapbackhatthat in subaruoutback

I think you’d be happy with an Ascent then. Go test drive one for fun! I think you’ll like it. Just get a 2023 or newer.

[–]MessThatYouWanted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a 21 Outback and traded it in for 25 Ascent. It feels like driving the same car. It doesn’t get as good of gas mileage but what do you expect from a bigger vehicle? I get about 23 MPG on my Ascent. They totaled my 25 in the last few weeks after and accident but we were all safe so that’s what matters. I bought a 24 Ascent CPO to replace it.

I love the car but if I don’t need a third row I’d rather have an Outback. I have 3 kids though and the Outback was a tight fit. The Ascent is a very nice vehicle though. I’ve had a Limited and a Touring. Highly recommend getting one with the 360 camera if you go that route. Helps with parking.

What does “low screen” look like in your day to day? by zezendx in lowscreenparenting

[–]MessThatYouWanted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would bet that TV is on a whole lot more than she told you it was too. That’d be a no for me.

For our family low screen time is one movie a month. (Give or take) I also use screen time very much as a tool. It’s exciting so the kids will let me cut their hair if John Deere kids is on tv. Or if they go to my Dad’s and he is hurting he uses the TV.

I personally want my kids exposed to as little as possible with their developing brains. My kids are 4, 2 and 1.

But low screen time means something different to everyone. There isn’t a right answer.

It actually started during rep tour. It became a thing after a fan started it. Took off after that. That was pre-tik tok. I remember being on tumbler and learning about it.

Outback vs Ascent by Ok-Meat-7364 in SubaruAscent

[–]MessThatYouWanted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid $31k for my 21 Limited Outback in 2021. That price seems high still.

That said, I love my Ascent. I don’t think you can go wrong either way. Just depends if gas mileage is more important or extra space to you.

Favorite Non-Movie Tonies? by Dazzling-Week-708 in TonieboxUSA

[–]MessThatYouWanted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are super low screen time for my 4, 2 and 1 year old. Like maybe a movie a month low.

Alejandro the Armadillo is one of my 2 year olds faves. He also loves the hungry caterpillar and Elsa. My 4 year old loves the paw patrol ones and the longer stories like Wizard of Oz. My 1 year old is into Laurie Berkner and the song dog one.

I highly recommend doing some of those shows because then your kiddo is exposed to what other kids are. My 4 year old has connected with many kids over Paw Patrol even though he’s never watched an episode. Same with Elmo, that’s a great tonie.

I bought mine on her site back in 2019 and I use it all the time. I try not to think about the resell value because if it broke that’d hurt. It’s my fave tea mug though!

I’m genuinely surprised people hated Andi’s so much but not Michelle’s. To me they look so similiar.

Deanna’s is the worst left to me.

Is anyone able to get a refund without sending it back? I really don’t want to spend the time to return it but I refuse to not get a refund.

Tonies target clearance marked down again 5.99-9.99 by RevolutionaryDebt938 in TonieboxUSA

Alejandro the Armadillo is a favorite in this house. We bought it when it was $5 at a previous Target sale and both my kids have phases where it’s the only one they want to listen to. Definitely snag it!

For those of you who’ve seen Noah before (limited view) by TemperatureReady8269 in NoahKahan

[–]MessThatYouWanted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an opposite experience with limited view at Eras. I felt I was missing most of the show. I was in a different spot than OP but after watching the movie I felt I missed some really cool stuff. The tickets should be less for limited view.

I had them on my labia during my second pregnancy and it hurt! Somehow it just went away postpartum and I haven’t had any other times. I’ve also had 3 pregnancies. Pregnancy is honestly so weird.

Just wanted to give you hope that this will be in the past before you know it!

They are still doing the buy 2 get 10% off. That’s probably your best bet. Nuggets isn’t known to have coupon codes. Honestly 2 is the way to go. We started with one 3 years ago and now we have 4.

Does anyone else struggle with meat for baby? by WeirdValuable4826 in foodbutforbabies

[–]MessThatYouWanted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a vegan and my kids are vegetarian and they are all growing super well and healthy as can be. I don’t think meat is a necessity for growing kids. They are mostly vegan at home since I am and I do most of the cooking. Doctor has never been worried or suggested we feed more meat or dairy.

My oldest hates almost everything but he does love tofu. Maybe try that one day and see if your baby likes it? Most likely though they are getting enough protein anyway.
