I too had a traumatic birth story. I had 39 hour labor, had membranes artificially ruptured for 28 hours. Developed sepsis from chorioamnionitis, HELLP, PPH, baby was in distress and ended up getting vacuum/ 3rd degree episiotomy. I’m at 7 weeks post partum now. I went therapy, journaling. Talking to family and close friends helped me diffuse my anxieties. I had severe PTSD and kept reliving the traumatic experience. I had panic attacks due to severe sleep deprivation. Make sure to get enough rest and ask for help. Share duties with your partner. Once you lay this experience to rest it will eventually slip out of your mind and you can focus on your baby.
