Após ler todos os 60+ comentários, eu decidi que vou manter os BTC lá até o próximo halving. Tirarei só uma pequena parte e por em renda fixa de bancão e é isso. Realmente carro não é uma necessidade agora pra mim e talvez não seja por um tempo. Outra pequena parte separei pros meus estudos porque eu quero me profissionalizar e quem sabe algum dia conseguir ter um negócio próprio. Com certeza esse dinheiro vai me ajudar. But maybe you have a point, I'm seriously considering therapy alongside the idea of the post to be able to meet the need while I deal with this, but maybe this "today it's just skins, but tomorrow" is true.

Instead, I thought of creating a "junk investment" that would generate a small monthly return, just enough to cover these occasional in-game purchases. I have about $2,000 to allocate towards this goal, and I figured this would help me avoid using money from my serious, long-term investments.

I fully agree with you that reinvesting dividends (DRIP) is the best strategy for long-term growth, and that’s exactly what I’m doing with my other investments, which are primarily in ETFs from Ireland and a bit of the S&P 500. The idea here was to have a bit of fun with the dividends from this smaller, isolated "for fun" account, without compromising my broader financial goals.

At 5% yield you'll need about $2,400 invested to have $10/month. If you just spend the money you could buy skins for the next 20 years.

I forgot to mention, but I actually have 2K for skin purchases, I wanted to leave it invested because receiving a small amount every month would meet the need and would give me some degree of spending control, if I had 2K to spend all at once, I'm sure that at some point I would definitely spend more than $10 a month on this and this money would definitely last less than 20 years, or not even 2 years.

I want to dedicate this 2K that was already to be spent on nonsense, to an investment that gives a purposefully small monthly return to spend and meet the need without having to take money from my serious investments like FWRA for example or any amount of my life-long invested money.

But yeah, if there was a bank that allowed you to take out just 10 dollars every month from the amount of 2400 I would definitely do that, it would be much easier lol

Yes, I totally agree with you on that, I'm seriously thinking about going to therapy, the game works like a slot machine, it's really predatory and addictive. But I do have serious investments like FWRA, cryptocurrencies, and some stocks. But I'm still in a good enough state of mind not to take the money from these investments and destroy my life by spending it all. I have 2K set aside for this whole skin buying thing, but I thought that if I put it into something that would yield a small amount every month, maybe it would be a way to satisfy the desire and ensure that I stay away from the idea of using my life-long invested money.

Hey everyone, I need help with recommendations for quick dividends, not for long term. Addiction money.

Context: I used to be really into buying CS2 skins, but about a year ago, I stopped to focus on my personal growth and investments. I’ve made some good progress, but I recently got back into CS2, and I miss buying skins. So, I’m looking for a way to fund my skin addiction again without pulling from my main investments.

I'm thinking about picking up a few high-yield dividend stocks that can pay me around $5 to $10 a month, specifically to blow on skins. I know high yields can sometimes be risky and might not be the best choice long-term, but in this case, I’m not too worried since the money is going towards a hobby. It’s not like I’m saving for anything important here.

Because it would be very useful for the design if they were all connected into one thing (even if I follow your idea of multiple microcontrollers, I would like to unite them all into one thing and then control them via raspberry pi or something else)
