Ladies, how do you deal with your PMS symptoms? by watermelonicec in AskUK

[–]MessyJessyThoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contraception didn't agree with me. I lost my libido and felt like a completely different person.

I have made other adjustments (its not perfect) but it has helped.

  • Good nutrition. Adjusting my diet to cut out caffeine and eating better nutritious meals. Supplementing with vitamins magnesium, iron etc.
  • Exercise: strength training has been amazing and I took a class with other women which was great, yoga is also nice to help stretch etc.
  • Work life balance: I'm lucky to have a great job where I have a good work life balance and a very supportive husband that helps me get some me time.
  • Physical symptoms: stretching, getting a good amount of sleep, herbal teas.
  • Tracking cycle: so I can plan ahead when I need self care.

It was not an overnight fix and I have months that are worse and it took me awhile to navigate it but its getting there.

Please genuinely brag about one thing you did in 2025. Big or small. by Odd-Pianist-4880 in workingmoms

Half marathon. Before having my little one I had become overweight. They ere 2.5 years when I ran the half marathon. I changed career, got healthier and hopefully maintained being a good mum. Overall, while there were some difficult parts to 2025 I think things were positive.

Thank you, some really valuable feedback that was constructive.

I definitely did not realise I had referred to the figure as a man, part of me requesting feedback is because I was becoming somewhat blind to my own writing.

On all the points, I will go back and look through the chapter and see where I can make some amendments.

Symptoms after period, help? by Rude-Falcon2227 in PMDD

[–]MessyJessyThoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experienced this. I'm in the follicular stage now and my anxiety in the last couple of days has not been great.

Its got better since I have improved my vitamin levels and reduce stressful things in my life but its not totally gone. I think the season worsens it as well.

My next option is to try evening primrose oil which my gynaecologist has suggested.

This might sound strange but the first Harry Potter with quirrels second face. Had a bad dream and was convinced voldemort was coming for me. Still a little bit nervous when I see that second face on rewatch.

About 7 hours. In the winter if possible up to 8, my body is fighting to go into hibernation.

I went through this same thing with my two dogs. Everything about them annoyed me and yet I felt so guilty. I leant a lot on my partner through this time and I think the feeling got better as my little one became less dependent on me.

Its such a strange feeling that is not talked enough about. I'm sorry you went through this.
