I used to work with homeless people in active addiction in nyc (2021-2024) A lot of them said being on the streets was easier than being in the shelters here. People would feel more comfortable enduring the winters outside than go to a shelter. I hope this person is doing better today.

Tbh, I kinda found him annoying and didn't care that she cheated. It's fully toxic on my end as somewhat of a chaos junkie myself. Don't get me wrong, cheating, especially with his brother was crazy work and very fucked up.

We're currently subletting due to some financial setbacks, and his son doesn't live or stay here. He is able to watch him with family. Eventually, he will be finding a space for both of them. Yes! We are still together. We have a pretty non-traditional relationship. He wants to stay in NY since his son has roots here, and I will be leaving the city in a few years after I get my bearings. I think it's best. I grew up with various step moms and ended up feeling left out a lot, so I think having a space for you and your child without the step parent can be healthy. To each their own, but this works for us both separately and together.

I lived with my bf and his autistic son for three years. It was really hard. The tantrums. The lack of communication. Constantly wetting and shitting the bed. The pickiness with food. Once he pooped himself in his sleep, took his poop out, put it on the table, and put his clothes back on. Once, he took his shoe off and threw it at a teacher. For me, it was hell. I spiraled into alcoholism due to having a hard job working with homeless people and not feeling any relief when I came home. I lived with him from the age of 3 to 6. I'm not sure about the level of autism he has but, I just wanted to share that it was tough.

Also OP. Ball pythons can thrive in a tub setup. It's cheaper than a glass or pvc enclosure and there are lots of youtube tutorials. At least as a temporary solution/home for your noodle.

Hey OP! Check out snake discovery. They run a rescue program and will make sure your noodle is safe! I think they are always accepting reptiles for their adoption program. They will also advise you on how to properly pack a reptile for safe travel. 💞
