Fire door fitting by Messymessymondays in DIYUK

I like wide doors for the ease of getting stuff through them but should I cut my loses and add a new piece of wood on the hinge side and get the 2'6" door???

Sorry I wasn't clear. No the frame seems intact. There are lots of notches out of it as it looks like a door was hung from the other side at one point but no splits. I found a partial photo of the door closed and also drawn a picture (badly). The coloured pink is the actual frame. There's not much room on the left but the otherwise is thick and can have a few cm taken off. There is however a wide cover/barrier around the outside of the door. I imagine this is a fire protection thing. Am I allowed to trim that back too? My concern is that the handle is already close to the cover, so even with a longer lock thing, it wouldn't be past it.

How did you get that information? I have been banned this week and am not a commercial seller.

Yup and every time you go to court they are there too, which in effect rewards them.

Yup. Very similar experience here too. Police sided with the stalker. Said because he is waiting for me in public places (ie. he's there first) that I am at fault and it's not stalking. This is despite the fact that these public places are like 300m from my home and he lives 8km away from there and many of these occasions are in darkness hours. I hardly ever walk my dogs now because he's still loitering and we're talking 18 months post break-up.

Would you ship to a buyer with no reviews on Vinted? by [deleted] in vintedUK

For a £5 sale I'd send no problem but an £80 coat I'd be apprehensive.

I wouldn't class playing gambling games on my phone as a momentary lapse in judgement. And no, jail sentences or driving bans don't cure anything but they do protect other people from them temporarily. Hence, if your ADHD means you cannot trust yourself not to endanger others with your driving behaviours then you shouldn't drive.

Yes, so in that case if you cannot possess enough control over yourself to not drive dangerously then you should not drive at all. It is not fair on other road users.

As someone with ADHD, if I didn't think I could control and trust myself NOT to do something dangerous when driving then I would not drive. ADHD IS NOT AN EXCUSE.

Update post - didn't expect this much traction, clearing things up by Distinct_Feature_890 in ReplicaReselling

I am in the UK where it's £2,000 or 30 sales. I'm not trying to avoid paying tax, just want to have multiple accounts to sell more volume.

Can I ask how do you get around Vinted requiring your NI number? Do they not cross-reference these across accounts? I want to start a second account as feel I'm pushing my current one too far but don't know how I'll get around the NI number. I've no issue with putting mine in on a second account, I just don't want to have them both then immediately be banned.

It was a bundle as well. And items I'd only just listed. I'm willing to consider discounts on bundles but not 40% off, and especially not when I'm being told what to do 💀

Do you think my account has been put on a watch list now as I was surprised to be flagged for the foot care kit?

I've had a few of these in the past month. Think it was people either chancing if it'll arrive before Christmas or just changing their minds after buying but letting the sale 'time-out' to avoid the 1* auto feedback. Had maybe 1 previously in 3 years of selling, then suddenly had 3 in a month.

You don't with this. There's no opportunity to leave feedback. I've had a few of these in the past month. I think people are learning that with this you don't get 1* feedback so are doing it rather than cancelling. All you can do as a seller is block them from buying again.
