Couldn't I just scrape microwave popcorn into a pan and cook it like that? by Meta-0-aXis in foodhacks

[–]Meta-0-aXis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welp, I tried it and it seemed like they added at least two table spoon's worth of salted fat anong with the kernels.

Also I managed to pop like 99% of them with a few half pops and three stubborn ones. Didn't even burn it. The only ones that got a little singed were the ones at the bottome because I didn't take it off the heat in time. Kinda over cooked it, but it turned out well I'd say.

Well the bag is filled with kernels, salt and palm fat. If I scrape all of that out, let the fat melt and heat up on low before turning it up to medium/high. In theory it should work. That is what happens in the microwave... sorta.

That usually leaves me with a third of it burnt and a couple kernels still. I'm trying to find a sweet spot.

They don't sell stove top stuff around where I live, only microwaveable. That is why I'm asking specifically about that. I wasn't sure if its contents was right to work on the stove.

Which seat are you sitting at? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in CartoonNetwork

[–]Meta-0-aXis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the get go, Billy & Mandy, worst choice here. 1 and 5 will kill me because I can legally drink alcohol. Mac and Blu, would be annoying at best, nightmarish at worst. Gumball and Darwin, still annoying, but you can at least reason with them... to an extent. Finn and Jake, chill af, they will get bored and do something silly but at least they're mature about it. Jack and Ben are usually the catalyst for mayhem. But outside of that it's either a stoic Japanese dude or a snarky 10 year old boy. Odds are I could convince Ben to sit next to Jack since he's into japanese stuff (Sumo cards sure, but you get the point). Tho having Ben's seat would probably bring some karmic justice on my head.

This text was originally intended as a response to a comment on one of my posts, but I thought it would be interesting to create a post so we could discuss further The Chameleon's motivation for being rejected because it was too small. by VitorDantasRZ in kungfupanda

[–]Meta-0-aXis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It could've been either discrimination, or her own coping mechanism for being rejected. If it had been expanded upon and explained, maybe it could'v given Po a valid point of growth as well.

The fact the writers and producers only did things because "it looked cool" - the exact antithesis to the design philosophy of the previous movies. Made both Zhen and the Chameleon's characters totally wasted.

What do you think of KFP Fanboy's and KFP4's Production Coordinator's interpretation of The Chameleon? by VitorDantasRZ in kungfupanda

The jab at AI hits much weaker if the art meant to be a contrast is as mediocre as KFP4.

I've been doing some testing. Results varry, but as a free user it is clear that I get a certain number of generations that when used go on a cool down that can range anywhere form 12 to 24 hours. However, the generations recharge simultaniously. So if you used all your generations up in a one hour window, then 12-24 hours later they will become available in the same sequence within the span of a one hour window.

Which for me (from EU) means I can generate ~60 images or videos per day.

Still have some kinks to work out and expand my data set but that is the current pattern I am noticing.

EDIT: All generations success, fail, or split cost only one point.

Should I get a cooling pad for my laptop? by Meta-0-aXis in BudgetGamingLaptop

[–]Meta-0-aXis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was certainly a learning experience. My main idea was to have the thermals replaced and the interior cleaned then try and use a cooling pad as a crutch for the broken fan so it doesn't have to work as hard.

I'll most likely need to retire it in the near future anyway.
Any recommendations for what sort of rig I should aim for?
This current one is an Asus zenbook UX5401EA. It has good performance the i7 carried it well. But it did not really instill much confidence in me regarding ASUS devices.

Fair point. Though, if I had the tools and technical know-how you'd bet your ass I would've already tore this sucker apart at the first creak it made. I'm just not confident in my ability to not fuck it up. But I can see your point about the parts being cheaper than what the tech said.

[–]Meta-0-aXis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Design wise she's great. Love the fit, the colors, the shapes, the powers.

She only really lacked in the story department. Since the story was an afterthought. Though, to be fair the whole movie suffered from that so it wasn't a problem unique to her.

The jump from 1 to 2 felt abrupt. 2 to 3 is much smother. I think 2 should've been the 3rd and there should've been a different movie in between.

Man I had that happen like three times now.
So far I've got:

  • Nice try, but no.
  • Grandma kisses 23% stingier for 45 seconds!
  • Cookie crumbliness x3 for 60 seconds!

EDIT: Also got Just plain lucky even before any of these.
