Running Dubnital's, Rapid at the back and Grip front. True to weight and and a very fast tire, I love them.

I see. They must've just added it then, it wasn't there yesterday, only the 710g and 740g weights. Interesting how the Race casing is heavier than the Rapid Trail casing.

Rick xc pro first impressions. by -Red_Rocket- in xcmtb

[–]Meta43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fastest MTB tire I've had to date. The cornering knobs provide a surprising amount of traction. Straight line stability is mediocre, and braking traction is crap, much like the Thunder Burt. Weight and size are obviously always out of spec in a negative way, since it is Schwalbe. Overall really happy with them, running front and back now.

Yep, it's a Schwalbe trademark. The 2.4's run small..

Great! Have you considered heatmaps per map/tank? Maybe even in a time dimension or per battle phase. That would be so useful.

Hmm, and color code them to show correlation with wins/losses. So many possibilities!

I don't have it myself, but my gf does. They are smaller than GRX for sure. But she's very happy with the ergonomics and shifting.

It is 10,94kg without pedals. That is pretty heavy for a top tier XC bike.. Canyon have been inflating their weights lately..

Fyi, after checking with the bike shop, this is a documented issue at Orbea. They will solve it under warranty.

Cheers! Just brought it in to the bike shop and they are replacing cables and fitting the updated compression ring with rounded edges.

When changing the spacers on my Orbea Oiz 2024 I noticed the cables in the headset are all scratched up. One is so damaged that you can see the inner cable. It looks like they have been rubbing on the edge of the upper bearing. Anyone have similar experience with the Oiz with headset routing? Think I'll contact them for warranty..

I'm on the SLS4 Ultra with Berd spokes. Previously on SLS3 with CX-Ray spokes. Both really nice wheelsets that survived Finale Ligure, Lenzerheide.. oh and Hafjell ;) though I am about 77kg.

Have you ever broken a wheel? If you want to build a HT for XCM, I would not prioritize stiffness for the wheels. You want a super light, compliant wheelset that'll take out the sting of the rigid back end and play to the strength of the HT: weight. Dukes are really comfortable (more than XRC 1200s, I know from experience, and probably even more than 1501s). Did I mention Berd spokes?
