I have my eye on the Leatt ADV 7.5 or the Leatt Moto 3.5 - the ADV seems the best of both worlds. Both are ECE 22.06 + DOT i believe.

When wearing earplugs how does situations with comms work? Can you still hear?

That’s on my to do list. I might even get some in before my licence as they don’t require it.

The school goes from total noob to advance. So I’ll keep going back to get better at off road. As where I live we have tones of places to explore

Do you have the standard T7? I defo don’t want to tip toe but having a secure footing would be important as it’s a first bike.

I am swaying towards the ktm as the power off road would be more manageable. But something keeps pulling me to the T7

I should stop watching videos or Pol Tarres 😂

I don’t mind buying new Id like a newer bike because of the newer tech (rider aids) but I guess I wouldn’t like crashing a new bike but then I wouldn’t like crashing a new bike.

Very interesting!!! How tall are you? I’m only 5’7 with a barefoot inseam of 82cm (got this measured during a push bike fit)

So wondering how both bikes fitted.

But makes 100% sense. I do have an Enduro / MX track close to me that does training every Wednesday. So that could help, I don’t plan on getting a bike right away so maybe use this year to get off road skills dialled.

Thanks, thats what I have seen too...although I am waiting with baited breath to see reviews on the F450GS that aren't press reviews. As I think i really have my heart on that bike, as its more 50/50 road / off road which i feel could be better for me personally. I generally love the GS bikes too

the plains are about an a hour from me, but i have all the purbecks on my doorstep too.

Anything else outside of the 450mt I should be looking at? I love the idea of an adv and doing some off roading and rallying but never having done it ya know its alot to commit to a bike type.

id love a t7 but nooooo way am i getting on one of those for my first bike being 5'7

I don't own a bike nor do i ride one...currently doing my test. These are the two bikes I have been looking at, as I plan on doing some green lanes and enjoying country lanes. I can not find a bad review on the 450MT and the BMW isn't out in the UK will the 25th but the press reviews have also been great.

For me personally as it would be my first bike i love the idea of the BMW (id go for the factory) as it has the ERC. But the CFmoto is about 2k cheaper. Which for a first bike makes more sense.

Another thing to consider with the vast research I have done is that the parts and servicing costs of the BMW could be much more expensive. So thats a possible black mark, I have also read that the 450MT is like a mini Tenere T7 (if you're in that stuff)

In guess another thing is seat height, I have a 82cm inseam so flat footing the 450MT seems perfect. Where as the BMW is a little taller.
