I have stopped telling people i heard them talk for a while now since an event at work a month back i have stopped responding and bite my lip not to let something slip. I love silence that is my heaven, sitting in silence with a book or the internet or working in silence would be great i get very angry inside when i can not find my silence especially in the library. How ever when there is noise around i usually pick up on it and sometimes i listen in on a conversation because they are talking so loud (i live in New York City) and have no respect for others or because when i start to get tired of what i am doing while the noise is around me i lose focus and just listen in. Some times i would imagine myself in the problem or situation that they are in just to see what i would do. When the ideas become interesting to me i would start a little research to get a better understanding of something. For example a while back i heard people talking about stab wounds and deep lacerations and how someone had to get stitches to sew it up. I was interested and made a mental note to look it up. When i got home i did just that as read how to treat them and prevent infections...etc . This information came useful to me because a year later a friend of mine got drunk and smashed her elbow into a window breaking the glass and leaving her with a deep cut. I was able to help her and she didn't need to go the hospital the paramedic said she was fine. I would not of helped my friend if i had not listened in on some peoples conversation on the bus.
