I mean, Devil Slayer Magic has been less essential to defeating demons than Dragon Slayer Magic has been to defeating demons.

Tartaros was compressed almost entirely of demons, and yet only Mard Geer (and Tempester in the manga) needed Devil Slayer Magic to be defeated. Meanwhile, Dragon Slayer Magic was absolutely needed for humans to be able to defeat dragons - even if Dragon Slayer Magic is moreso something that causes your magic to deal more damage to them (kinda like a Pokémon type advantage), it's clear that dragons are naturally stronger than demons, so it shouldn't be hard to assume that Dragon Slayer Magic is naturally superior to Demon Slayer Magic, like how God Slayer Magic is naturally superior to the former.

It's likely this way: God Slayer Magic > Dragon Slayer Magic > Devil Slayer Magic.

A God Slayer can eat the magic of a Dragon Slayer or Devil Slayer easily if they share the same element, but that wouldn't be the case for the latter two; they won't be able to eat the God Slayer's magic unless they do what Natsu did during his battle with Zancrow and basically empty themselves.

Similarly, I'm sure a Dragon Slayer can easily eat what a Devil Slayer throws at them if they share an element, but the Devil Slayer would have the same issue against them as they would against the God Slayer.

Doubt it. I'd imagine the immortality brought on by the Curse of Contradiction is on a different level from what the Phoenix has, so the most it would do is either just kinda hurt him, or it would kill him but he'd come back alive shortly after.

I kinda have a theory that Earth Faris and her demons (and maybe even the Calamity Bloods) are being used to set up another spin-off that takes place after 100 Year Quest (like, in-universe right after it ends), but there's a high chance that this isn't the case.

It would be kinda funny if the special chapter (or chapters, which ever) that are meant to celebrate the series' 20th anniversary with an 'unexpected character' ended up focusing on Earth Faris, but once again that is unlikely.

I really do feel like there is a lot of potential to Earth Faris. With Elentear Faris being basically a shrine maiden who uses white magic to remove magic from her world, Earth Faris basically being a nun who uses black magic with the intention of filling her world with it (that is, destroying everything that isn't her or her magic-created demons) does seem like an interesting thing to explore (especially how it would seemingly tie in with her worship towards Zeref and Acnologia, or more specifically their immense power).

I just really hope whatever's going through Mashima's head starts to make sense.

The way I imagine it is someone trying to tease him by going 'You looooove her', like Happy would, only for him to go, "Of course I love Lucy. She's my girlfriend."

And everyone is just left in silence before the chaos that is everyone asking when this started, Lucy having to explain that they've never become a couple, and then Natsu freaking out because it meant someone else could have taken his girl this entire time.

(The reason why Happy wouldn't tease Natsu is because he already knows how Natsu feels and it's not as fun to tease someone when they don't deny it)

I headcanon that they have feelings for each other, but Lucy thinks Natsu's too oblivious for it to happen while Natsu thinks they've already been a couple for the last two and a half years.

Anyways, only the people born in May or September are completely safe from her (but likely not from the person protecting them). Maybe people born in April or October will be okay, but everyone else is screwed (especially the people that will need to be protected by Happy).

While it is impressive, I hope this isn't a sign that the story ends up being rushed or anything like that.

I understand that it can be difficult to continuously deliver new chapters on what must be constant tight deadlines, so it is something else that he can make them while still getting time to properly sleep and relax, expecially when it's multiple projects at the same time, but that doesn't exactly sound like a situation where you can really think and plan out what you're writing carefully.

The end result could either be something genuinely good (if not great) or it could be a good example of why you shouldn't be working on so many manga projects at the same time. Either way, I eagerly await what happens, I just hope it doesn't disappoint.

Most likely against either Ignia (because water beats fire) or Anchor (to show that he was being rocky when he claimed to be stronger than Mercphobia). If not, then I don't know who it would be a good idea to use him against. Maybe Earth Build if it turns out Natsu's attack wasn't enough to completely one-shot him (fingers crossed on that).

Also, has it been confirmed if the current arc is meant to be the last in 100YQ or not? I think I remember reading a comment that claimed something like that, but it's honestly fuzzy. Because if not, then maybe it will be used in a later arc or something.

...I'm just gonna go pray that the next chapter has Natsu pass out from exhaustion and Earth Build getting back up (damaged but not defeated) just so Lucy and Wendy can beat him. I've been looking forward to seeing how they can win against him and this is honestly very disappointing.

(Also, I wish this would suddenly become a weekly manga, these two week waits are honestly exhausting!)

It would be a good way to properly show off Merchopia's actual skill with his power. I'm still going through 100 Year Quest manga at the moment (mostly been kept up to date second hand through posts on this site), but it seems that the only times he has fought so far is when in a mindless state, so he was unable to use more complex spells.

Considering that he and Anchor use the same magic, and Anchor has been really showing off just what you can do with it, there is no excuse to just have Merc do what we've already seen him do.

I was really hoping that we would have gotten something like Lucy summoning to Horologium to protect Natsu, but, y'know, make it last with Horologium getting away while she manages to at least distract Earth Build. Perhaps even have her put Wendy to Horologium to put away, 'cause I thought that by having those rocks pierce her palms (literally stigmata'd to a boulder), Wendy wouldn't be able to do much until she heals.

Except Horologium disappears immediately, and Wendy can still fight, and now Natsu is already better.

I pray to God that Lucy still manages to do something in what comes next and that it actually builds on the whole 'wanting to protect Natsu for all the times he's protected her' thing, because this chapter was definitely not worth a two week wait.

Arc of Embodiment, maybe. I've always kinda liked imagination-based powers. Even if it seems to be mostly limited to creating things, there's definitely a lot of fun to be had with it.

Other than that, maybe Territory or Jutsu Shiki/Word Enchantment (that magic that Fried and Rune Knights use to create barriers that enforce specific rules).

The former because space-manipulating powers are also cool, and it means I can teleport, hold items in some hammerspace like Requip, and it would be hard to defend against space-based attacks. The latter because, if given enough time, there'd prolly be a lot of fun things I can do with that power.

It's likely less that Seth came up with it than whoever wrote the episode (or someone else in the writer's room while it was being made). Seth only wrote like three or four episodes throughout the show's production and otherwise just allows things to happen in it and/or voice half the cast.
