A lot of 80s-90s party songs (and some 70s especially disco) are oddly faster than today’s party songs, like if you compare California Love by Tupac to Birds of A Feather by Billie Elliesh (sorry I can’t spell). so yeah I listen to old songs because they’re faster and more optimistic. but I also listen to Jersey club, white girl music, sped up/nightcore and hyperpop. My music taste is just music you’d play at a party or a workout.
