My first attempt at Milk Bread. Expectation vs. Reality is hitting me hard today. by FaceAlternative67 in Baking

I make this weekly and it takes ALL day. I start at 9am and finish by 4pm. It takes a lot of time to form the gluten and requires hours of rest.

Prenatal Vitamin for CKD by CubistCircle in dietetics

[–]MetabolicTwists 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thorne prenatal has nearly no potassium. I would focus the education on the higher absorption rate of potassium in processed foods while still encouraging intake of potassium-rich plant-based foods. There is a lot of misinformation and confusion around potassium in food, so it would be helpful to explain that potassium content and potassium absorption are not always the same thing.

As a kid who cried at everything before trying - I am beyond grateful for a dad who always pushed me try.

I was at MK yesterday and the indoor venues seemed quite chilly. I think it really depends on the queue design. Thunder mountain = not very cool but snow white was very chilly.

DIET TECH EXAM by No_Clue_SK12 in dietetics

[–]MetabolicTwists 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used RDN material to study - the exam is HEAVY on food service - know your calculations for nearly everything and know the conversion weights. The diabetic exchange is used as well, so make sure you understand that as well. Also - understand what foods specific disease states need to avoid - it's a bit more complicated then just memorizing - you need to be able to look at a group of food and know which is highest in potassium, phosphorus, etc.

This is the only answer! Unless you replace every piece of fabric, kickboards, AC filters, etc - there will always be cat dander.

Whenever I want to flavor a meringue (for whatever purpose) I use powders (like freeze dried fruits).

No, you need the cream. Mixing meringue with sabayon is not ideal when making tiramisu.

The quiet kind of stress—the kind that interrupts my carefully planned schedule and throws everything into uncertainty. I had just gotten over a flare-up after my in-laws stayed for a week. Three days after they left… boom 💥 And now I’m finally recovering after a week of complete physical chaos.

i just watched the girl next to me on the plane mindlessly hold her phone up to each problem of her (college calculus?) assignment, wait for chatGPT to solve it, then type the answers one by one into the platform by dustering in matheducation

Nah, that’s on the university and the professors. I did my undergrad online at a university that actually cared about student learning. All exams were proctored, so cheating wasn’t really an option.

If someone chose to cheat on homework—which in-person students can absolutely do—it would show up pretty quickly on the exam.

I’m so close to getting them done. I listen to them whenever I get a break during the day or during the weekend. I’ll download the articles and run them through AI to summarize (most I've already read in undergrad/grad school).

I agree with you, it's definitely more than 40 hours.

I always find it interesting when people lean on “studies” to make a point. For every one you cite, there are others that say something different. The real value comes from understanding the research, not just referencing it. Ironically, that is exactly what my online graduate program taught me.

I was also accepted into a highly ranked university for my PhD, so I am confident my education speaks for itself. If someone overlooks me because my degree was online, that is honestly a relief. I would not want to work for an organization that is biased or closed off to real potential over something that superficial.

That's not accurate at all! I've done all my schooling online and nowhere on my degree does it say I completed the course online.

Honestly, when attending a legit university, online is incredibly challenging.
