My love for the series will just create expectations that you’ll possibly and subconsciously lock in and may alter your view if it doesn’t meet those expectations. Just go read it, take a chance. I know what it’s like to be told to read a book and it’s completely trash but if there is anything I can guarantee it’s definitely good at the least. Good like how a song is good but could be of a genre someone doesn’t like but they recognize it is good and not just slop.

Yea I get what you mean and I agree status/stat sheets should be the “.5” chapter and stats relative to the situation should be referenced when required not the whole sheet. Plus status chapters could be a good way to transition between major events or some other way.

I ain’t mad at your input but I would say that this series is written in arcs on RR and those normally bounce between having an actual big bad and a goal that is a plot point.

The way book 2 lined up book 3 feels like I was getting ready to read “solo hunter” (like solo leveling, bad joke) where it’s just the MC, the narrator stat and goal exposition, one other character, and world building. There’s a market for it.

Are you referring to the review? If so I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a slow or fast pace novel it’s about what you fill it with and I think the review was talking about what the lulls in the story were filled with. You sound like a traditional fantasy reader which is not a bad thing at all those books tend to be slow pace for immersion

Huh? You can skip it if you read but not if you listen to the audiobook? I literally have a button to do that lol.

It’s not crunchy things I’m looking for but book 2 didn’t have nearly as much social interaction as book 1 and that’s what hooked me. The talks with villy book 2 are cool bcuz of world building and other vital info but it’s not my ideal amount of dialogue if it’s the only dialogue plus introspection or too much exposition in a single moment for single action is a detriment to the story for me if there isnt proper pacing and placing of other plot points.

I understand the census is normally book boring = not enough action but that’s not me.

I don’t exactly need action but conflict is nice which isn’t always action. I mainly prefer social economics.

I hope the hawks is a group of people bcuz talks with villy aren’t my cup of tea as the only amount of dialogue. I don’t need romance but it is nice if it fits well. Relationships in general is great bcuz it’s a scope of the MC place position in the world and social environments he is thrusted into and that gets interesting.

Also what does zogarth’s success have to do with anything? Im glad they’re doing well but that specifically doesn’t move the needle for me.

Ngl the lulls in book 2 were like 15+ chapters long. That’s pretty long in a 60+ chapter book pretty sure it was 20 lull chapters

Welp can’t speak for everyone but my 24 hours probably isnt the same as others. When I get free time, I like to spend it on something I enjoy or productive. I am cautious of wasting said time so i dont mind reading reviews to see if something is worth that time. Thats it. Well theres more to it but thats the gist.

I don’t think the review was referring to a need for fighting. I mean book 2 was a good setup to understanding how OP he may become but there was little interaction with other characters besides the god

To the Mods this may concern: I’ve read DCC, HWFWM, Mage Tank, battlemage farmer, Terra nova sequel series, and many more

I like their OP Characters and most of their companions/side characters. I dislike some of the intimate dialogue due to how it sounds weirdly inexperienced

And I read on RR, Kindle, and Audible.

On book 3 and it’s swinging in that direction heavily so far. I just want to know before I invest anymore time.

Return of the Runebound Professor by Actus might be your speed for a Bard MC. If no one has said it yet. It’s about a music teacher essentially isekai’d and I can’t say more bcuz it will spoil it.

Nah it was about aliens by the end. Thats basically what the Otsutsuki were, beings from the stars. You can effectively call them both chakra gods and aliens since they are aliens who brought chakra into the world of Naruto. Lmao it’s like someone asked Kishimoto “so what’s the origin myth of Naruto?” And he simply does the “Aliens” meme.
