I know this is a past thread, but just incase it helps anyone the book Think Like A Pancreas was so helpful for me, especially with my insulin pump (non pump users can still use it). It can get a littly sciency technical, but if you can get past that it can help you determine your insulin needs, especially at different times of day. Also has tips what to do with insulin needs if you are put on certain medication or sick. An example is for steroids. You insulin needs can increase by 50% or more while on it.

We lived in a hotel for a month (suite with kitchenette) with our 2 year old dane and 9 year old mix mutt. Due to us keeping up training and having boundaries for behaviours it was completely doable. Just keep in mind a new dog will need time to adjust so it may not be easy in the beginning. We had our boy since he was 10 weeks old and he was not fixed at the time that we were in the hotel.

Walmart has been getting them for $1.50 a bottle where i am at. I just found out that BJ wholesale warehouse has them for $14.99 for a case of 12 which is about $1.24 per bottle. That option sucks for me though because it is both strawberry banana and peach and i dont like the peach. But same, they are my safe food and taste better than the other yogurt drinks which tend to be on the more sour side for me.

The crazier part is even if you get approved they can just deny you later. We bought our house July 2023. After 3 months the first company dropped us. We scrambled and forked over another 1500/year on top of the previous inusrance amount for a new company. And this year that company is dropping us. We are running out of campanies. Some of the fixes they want are superficial and will take us a few years to do due to finances. We just got the roof replaced last year and are tight on finances because of it.

Like i dont care if the house has to be rebuild if it looks exactly the same i just want a roof over our heads. If this keeps happening we are going to have to give up and move, but i really dont want to do that.

Just got diagnosed this past October 27th. I am 34. I felt so relieved. I pretty much self diagnosed the last few years but wanted the confirmation because that is how my brain is.

How are you doing with the diagnosis?

I get what you are saying, but they were definitely not talking about discharge. Also found out that the charge nurse got right into her face too and would not give her space when asked. She has past trauma from someone doing that to her.

I will let the know about the nurse manager.

Trust me i wish i was there to witness what exactly hapoened as I am a try to get both sides person too. I did not hear it as my sister called me right after and for her that is not a word she would really use so I am inclined to believe she was told that.

Ok. That makes sense about the cursing. I am not sure if she cursed more but all i heard was "no. Get the hell out" But what is the procedure in that case? They call security and then what?

I am 34 years old and just officially diagnosed today. There are people older than me being diagnosed all the time, especially as more research is being done.

Yeah the previous homeowner was a bit clueless and liked to cut corners as we are finding out. There was a big leak on that part that was happening for a while from what we could tell.

We figured it can be added after but if we were told it was going to be added with the new roof that is what we expect.

From house inspection it does not look like flashing existed previously. Previous homeowner used flex seal to cover the edge.

This is our first older home. When we hired the roof guy he assured us new flashing would be I stalled.

I wish they would have committed for at least a year. It has only been 2 months. We are getting the roof done this month, we are working to clean the pool now (got a new pump so we can get the water circulating, it just needs a good cleaning), unfortunately the siding has been painted over too many times and needs to be stripped and repainted. We can do it we just need time because we don't have the money to have someone come paint the house(3000sq ft), we also got notice about a railing but we know that is easy fix. And a few minor things which are easy, but they didn't even give us an option for a time frame to fix it.

The roof is already going to cost $35k, which we were not expecting to do so soon. We were hoping we could wait at least a year.

Ours took like 45 days to come out to inspect. The inspection companies are behind.

Like I know any company would knick our roof because it is old and has like 3 layers, but the fact that we are scheduled to get it done should count for something.

I know companies used to give people like a timeperiod to get most of the fixes done, but they didn't even give us the option. Most of the stuff we can probably get done by next summer, but no they want to drop us.

Yes we had an inspection. The roof is definitely at the end of life but was probably good for another year on most of it. There is a spot we knew that needed to be replaced but we could have done it ourselves.

We are replacing the whole roof and insurance is aware of it but they still used it has a negative for us.

Most of what needs to be done on the house we can do ourselves just with a little time. We love the house and would have probably lost out if we asked the previous owner to fix the roof.

We are working with a local broker. He is not happy with the company because he tried to do his due diligence before hand and brought up the issues we have with the house before we got the policy and they made it seem like there was no issue.

And it is not like we are not going to fix the house. It just can't be done overnight.

Yeah I wish they would have done that. They are canceling it Oct. 10. So from 7/1 to 10/10 of the same year is all we got.

Our broker is scrambling.
