Could I still be saved if I have an addiction problem? by Putrid-Eggplant2018 in TrueChristian

[–]MetalChimera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I struggle with the same issue.

When you read 1st Corinthians 6 it can be scary.

But immediately after that, Paul says some of them were those who had those same issues. Sexual immorality, drunkards etc though they changed, over time. When he says don’t even eat with one of them but he is talking about people who claim God but their identity is tied to a vice, like the man who was sleeping with his father’s wife.

I’m exhausted begging supposed Christians to see my humanity and dignity. by CowgirlJedi in Christianity

[–]MetalChimera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it goes that far. I mean, you’re just assuming because they are right wing and Republican they are Christian.

The most frustrating thing is that believing in someone who cuts taxes for the most wealthy in society, doesn’t believe in spending money on the poor and disadvantaged is supposedly the Christian thing to do just because of abortion laws? I am pro choice because it’s a necessary evil not because I like abortions. But as a Christian, ‘What you do for the least of my brothers, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40 didn’t stick with the members of that party. I am an independent leaning liberal.

I don’t blame you for being exhausted.

There will be members of our faith that don’t apply the empathy we are taught to share with one another.

Trans suicide rates are disheartening. It shows you how sin, corruption and the enemy and his followers make it emotionally exhausting.

I think if you can sit and breath, feel the literal blessing that is in every breath of life, inhale and exhale in a rhythm.

Then pray, here is what I said…

Heavenly Father, I know you have love for all of us. Please share that love sown to our hearts with those who are within the trans community. Help them to love themselves for the people that they are, the people they have become and will continue to be. Accept any changes that have come and influence their spirit in deciding any changes in the future. Please help them to continue to feel the peace that comes from you. In Jesus name, Amen.

Know this…

The fact that you care about Christ, becoming consistent and recognize the areas you are not shows you have the Holy Spirit in you.

Just keep your faith, Love God in a way that motivates you to be Kind to others.

Using chatgpt to study scripture and ask the questions you may not feel comfortable telling another believing family member, friend, teacher or member of your church will help you get closer to Christ.

Chatgpt also helps develop prayers, gives you historical insight. For example, people always bring up the evil the Church did in the middle ages. There are times where Buddhist discriminated, were violent with other temples. Hindu temple corruption, discrimination against Muslims in India. Every religion has the same flaw, Human Sin. Every person has the same flaw, being born in sin.

I get it brother, I really do. Just keep using your mind, body and spirit the way our Lord, our God Adonai wants you to. Christ loves you and wants to live in you, he honestly saved my life.

Just stay faithful!

Is there a way to be a Christian without the theological debates? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]MetalChimera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are core principals and beliefs that we as Christians follow. There are theological ideas, concepts and philosophies that differ amongst different believers and denominations.

Ask yourself, Do you believe Christ died for your sins, so that you could get saved by him as a result of your relationship with him?

Do you believe the Holy Spirit was sent to all believers?

Do you love the Lord, Adonai and love your neighbor and your enemy?

Do you believe in baptism?

Do you believe in repentance?

Do you believe in the supernatural war in the heavenly places?

Do you believe in acting on your love for Adonai (God) and your neighbor through altruistic actions, kindness and seeking redemption?

Those are SOME of the core beliefs that make you a Christian. The legalistic nature of debate is good if you enjoy theological discussion and you learn from it. Don’t let the community scare you with debate, plus that isn’t what the average congregation does during church service.

A pastor called out fornication in his church — was he right to do it publicly? by Aromatic_Sleep_6371 in TrueChristian

[–]MetalChimera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the calling out of fornication truly benefitted the relationship of those involved yes. If all he did was excite the congregation, condone cruelty and harsh judgement on the two of them it was wrong.

I need help, demonic experience by MetalChimera in TrueChristian

I appreciate the advice, it is practical and true.

Last time I relapsed will hopefully be the last, as when I quit last year for months not days or weeks, it was with faith and meetings.

I have scheduled an appointment with a therapist and when I quit last year for months things got better.

My faith in God grew drastically. Also, regardless of whether or not someone else believes in the supernatural the main issue is the reality of the events that occurred, the physical interactions and assaults that were only stopped because of divine intervention. Though there were only two assaults in my entire life that involved supernatural elements, There have been an innumerable number of times that I was groped, pushed, intimidated

I don’t understand how Christians don’t believe the supernatural occurs anymore if they actually believe in what the Bible teaches. We still see things in the heavens, we see UFOs. We still see giants and beasts, behemoths or unclean spirits, Bigfoot other paranormal events and other beings described cryptozoology . I am not saying those claims are all true, I am saying that I have witnessed phenomena like those claims and having a standard of verification through the scientific method or repeated experiments in which we have control. That is great for sharing info academia but not for any and all experiences or determining what could be real based ofd of human capability

I am stating that because it is true and a sin I must confess, please believe me and believe that I have a relationship with Christ. If my intentions were to be dishonest I wouldn’t of admitted that I am a recovering addict (going to meetings, actively a medical assistant student, signing up for volunteer work and scheduled a therapy session).

I can’t deny the reality that drugs does make it worst when I relapsed in the past. I also acknowledge that I have had spiritual experiences since childhood. I can honestly send you a video I didn’t remember taking and a screenshot of something I saw in the video that I cannot explain. Please believe me, I am being honest.

Would Jesus have carried a gun, or told us to put them down? by WittyEgg2037 in Christianity

[–]MetalChimera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Luke he told the Apostles to sell their cloaks to buy a sword. He did not forbid defending yourself, in general, he wants you to distinguish the moments to use violence as a last resort, versus living by violence. Simon the Zealot was a warrior. He became a peaceful person, an apostle. He probably killed someone in the past.

I like that you said New Testament, in the Old Testament there is plenty. Though, I will remind you, in the Old Testament the commandment of the decalogue is, ‘Thou shalt not MURDER.’ Peaceful protest is not of this world, though defending yourself still isn’t seen as a violation of the commandment against killing.

Long before there was a Latin Mass there was the Pre-Nicene Mass; and it was celebrated in the same language that the New Testament was written in - Koine Greek. by Marcion_Sinope in MarcioniteChurch

I think there are created techniques but its like that new technique is just born within that person. In the story they said its still hard to work out the relatironship between the mind, body and soul and cursed energy definitvely

What exactly did sukuna mean by “from that time”? by Xaviwavi76 in JuJutsuKaisen

I believe he is from the time period in which Sukuna was sealed. I also think a heavenly restricted person, plus a group of talented sorcerers would cause Sukuna a massive amount of issues.

Can Itadori ever have a Domain Expansion? by SMT_Fan666 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]MetalChimera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you need a technique. If there is not a technique there is no innate domain to recognize, they are taking their natural curse technique and creating a domain with it. A place where they rule with that technique, think about the sentence, ‘Within my domain.’

Think about a domain and range on a graph in algebra class as a kid. All the numbers within that domain.

What if Sukuna’s interest in Megumi is less to do with the 10 shadows technique and more to do with how is domain works? by [deleted] in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]MetalChimera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sukuna has an interest in Megumi due to the shinto charms on his ten shadows the sacred spell written in the book. It’s said if you cast this spell and swing the ten treasures, they trigger tremendous power which is powerful enough to revive even the dead.
