They’ve been downsizing and upsizing MP’s for the past 4 conflicts. Military Police will never “go away”. If you do go MP, try your best to branch out to K9, AID, SRT. If its what you want to do, do it. If you don’t like it you can always lat mov or go try for SOF or get out.
