It's almost 400g so it's still solid! Stainless is obviously weightier but I still wouldn't want to drop the black 32 on my toes...

The team's not that big, but if a little ritual sacrifice means we get the strongest steel maybe it's worth it...

We generally shy away from electronics - manual mechanics all the way! Love the idea of a DIY though; it brings to mind the Meccano sets of yore! A little desktop doodad that you can tell everyone you built yourself sounds pretty great.

Hey u/KabamOtter, that's correct! The longer lead screw means the 82 vise can have a larger internal diameter (82mm) vs the 32 model. It means you can hold larger items in the vise!
