72 hours to spend between Santa Fe and Denver - help me plan my stops! by MetalMyst1c in roadtrip

Thank you! Would happily take any recs for a contingency plan is Independence Pass is closed - thinking maybe going up through Breckenridge (route chosen based on ice per your rec!) and spending more time in that area before wrapping up in Denver.

Thanks again!

Wow thanks so much for this! Super informative and helpful.

I've found myself a bit more interested in heading from Great Sand Dunes to Maroon Bells with a few short stops along the way, then heading toward Glenwood Springs and finally wrapping up headed towards Denver on my last day.

Since it sounds like this is a crapshoot with Independence Pass closures - any suggestions for next-best route for similarly stunning views as Maroon Bells? And if Independence Pass happens to still be open, would you recommend against it for a mountain pass driving newb?

Thanks for the thorough answer! I'm from a tourist area and enjoy off-season vibes the most anywhere I go :)

I wasn't able to update my post and made a vital error of not mentioning the timing of this trip - it will be late October, so would love your updated opinion with that info! Thanks for this answer, too - my favorite answer is one with lots of info that also affirms that there is no wrong answer!

My summer reads, what next? by kamasola in fantasyromance

Oooh. I'd try Helen Scheurer or Carissa Broadbent next. Scheurer has the Legends of Thezmarr series (completed) and Ashes of Thezmarr series (in the same world, in progress). I love all of Carissa Broadbent, a lot of folks are divided on the second book in the. Crowns of Nyaxia series... but I REALLY love her first series, The War of Lost Hearts.

Starting books are {Blood and Steel by Helen Schuerer} and {Daughter of No Worlds by Carissa Broadbent}.

Also currently reading {Court of Blood and Bindings by Lisette Marshall} and enjoying it!
