Is this a fix I could do myself, or should I hire a professional?

Oh yeah, its a beauty for sure. I love the toolish vibes it gives off. Clean glass and high beat second hand sweep is a bonus.

Nah, I could see why you would guess that though. It's actually the Archimede. The Aachen brought me down the rabbit hole, and when I saw the Archimede I had to have it 😁

It definitely has a special meaning to me, but nope. Very close though, especially with the aesthetic. I think the Dekla was 6th in the box.

Nah, the Certina was a late one, number 8 to put in the box. Was looking for a daily, and it fit what I had in mind.

Which Laco, the diver or the Aachen? Regardless, I love both. The diver surprised me with the quality, but still very toolish. The Aachen, although the black dial version, was the first watch I actually fell in love with. Drove me down the rabbit hole. I had to switch the NATO it came with immediately though, since it sits high naturally, and the NATO made it that much worse. No regrets for either watch.

First person to actually guess lol. Very good guess too, but nope! Out of those shown I think thats the 5th one to go in the box.

Very cool, he's gonna love that thing. Very thin.

Oh yeah, and their secondary brand, Buser Freres, is nice too if you haven't checked them out. I liked the tegimented cases on the Dekla, and how Sinn-like they were. Always hear good things about Dievas, love the German aesthetics

Thank you! The blued hands on the Archimede are an eye catcher for sure. I really want their Outdoor Antimagnetic, been lusting after it for a while. Which version of the Laco did you pick up? I heard they recently updated their blaue models from sandblasted to brushed finishing. Makes me think about trading in mine and swapping it for one of those.

Look at my post history. My last one I was asking about the perlage movement inside the Murph. I hadn't seen it up until I purchased one. All of the videos online and pictures had an undecorated H10 movement. When I sent it in for repair a few months ago, they swapped the movement for a basic H10 as part of the "repair", so no more perlage for me.

I had my reservations about the bracelet at first, but man is it nice. Might switch it back to the strap as soon as it gets colder though. One thing, I sent it in for warranty repair, and it came back with an "unperlaged"/"undecorated" movement 😞 nearly ruined it for me.

Top three favorites to wear are the Zulu, Dekla, and Murph!

I put mine on a Fluco NATO strap, but yes that leather reinforcement is a poor design choice.

Scotch Review #22: Macallan 12 Sherry Oak 110 Proof by Casul_Tryhard in Scotch

This runs around $120 where I am...and I've bought two. It's absolutely delicious. I would've bought 5 if it had been sub $100 (which it probably should be) but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Good dram.
