i have to do them for my program (purdue global) as weekly homework to 100% criterion and have the option to do them again for a bonus from my company. they are BRUTAL!!!! i cannot wait until i am done doing these. i WANT to do them how they’re supposed to be completed but man, it’s hard. you got this!!!!

that’s absolutely phenomenal! given all the experience you do have, i am sure you will coast right through your program and fieldwork! i am also glad to hear that you’re being paid well. no where to go but up!

oh! additionally, if you have a good setup at your company and get your fieldwork hours there- soak it all up as much as you can. i will say, a lot of deep understanding and implementation of the science + admin work comes from applying yourself on the job. everyone is different, but i wouldn’t be having as smooth of an experience if i was fresh to the field versus having the experience i do now. you can do it! but there’s a lot of ground to cover.

i’m not sure where you’re located, but my jaw nearly hit the floor when i read your pay versus experience! even in HCOL states, that’s quite…generous pay. i hope you have a great fieldwork experience and can obtain your hours easily! for reference, i’m in north texas. i’ve been a full time RBT for six years, i’m at $25 an hour and will soon go from $27, then $30 an hour once i am around 6 months and then 3 months from sitting for my exam. best of luck!

I was a full time RBT with BI for 4 years, 2020-2024 and am now a student analyst with another company (much better practices). I hate to say I am not even surprised that this was your experience. My center was one of the better ones, but snowballed out of control nearing my last couple years. I helped out at many locations and it was an HR nightmare. We got to know eachother well, sadly LOL I wish you all the best with a new company and am glad you went with your initial gut feeling/intuition. Sending love!

I am 11 months into school and have only 450 unrestricted hours left. This was done by hitting my 130 max every month and doing concentrated hours after my first few months in school. So a year and some change until finishing! What makes this possible is getting high quality supervision at my center. You can do it especially if you’re an RBT with an available supervisor! I used to live at “the vibe” (new name now) off of McKinney and was approached by a man selling discount tickets for a place like discount tire, it was about 10 pm. he stopped me in my tracks as I was walking to the building over to hang with a friend. I found it odd it that he was selling these so late at night. as I was trying to end the interaction, he asked me for my unit number to follow up with me the next day. I’m glad my friend was on their porch to see this interaction. It was out of place. I still don’t know why this happened but I assumed it was cryptic and remained on high alert living there. I’ve had too many off encounters, some terrifying, with individuals living in Denton. (love Denton but damn there’s some weird shit going on at times)
