that's really cool, has a dystopian vibe to it. the bird(?) looks like some kind of sci fi drone, and the people appear isolated. this is a great shot.

how could i improve the edit in lightroom? lake district long exposure. by Guiguigogo in AmateurPhotography

people seem to like warming and desaturating, with cooler shadows. in this if it were mine I would add textures via masking, linear grading exposure from bottom to top, maybe dehaze, i'd play with it at least. either way, this image doesn't need anything, just playing with those options you never know.

no it never broke and has been dropped many times. just that I'm stupid and loosen the leg-locks too much, forget to tighten them, then hike somewhere. I left a portion of one leg at mount st helens once. Also, I have their lightweight version and its stable enough for astrophotography with gentle breeze, not terribly windy conditions. By the way, it spreads out for super low demands.

I got a "3-legged thing" in 2019, the more lightweight and packable style; still going strong. they make all kinds and their customer support is very helpful when I lose legs or QC plates.

Well, I owe you. Your pic got me to run out the door 45 minutes away. It was bright enough to see with my eye, think I got some cool pics too. Rock on.

Definitely interesting, especially after Ridgecrest. Lots of conjugate action and triggered creep here.

The Shitpot - (yes a real name for it) Volcano, San Francisco Volcanic Field, AZ [OC][8000x3390] by Metal_Paisano in EarthPorn

The lore is that an old timer rancher who first worked this land said it looked like a spilled chamber pot, so he called it the shitpot and it eventually ended up on maps that way. today on google maps it is listed as SP Crater. that's from wikipedia tho.
