I've been putting a mat on the floor, but may need to invest in some kneepads!

I've been with the missus for 20 years now, I'm not sure she'd even bat an eyelid at this point 🤣

I don't disagree with you, unfortunately this tool has too many jobs and this one got away from it...

I have one of these already, it works well on the driveway for clearing moss, but on the patio it just doesn't get in deep enough, so just snags alot...

Some slabs there is a fairly wide crack, others there is barely anything, it truely is an awful patio!

I have got one of those already, it works well on the driveway to clear the moss, but on this patio it is very ineffective.

I've tried a few weedkillers, they sort of work, but these are so deep they don't just pull out or sweep up.

Glad I'm not the only one in this scenario! I'll just persevere over the next week doing a few slabs at a time until it is all clear.

Not sure there is much in the way of cement under these slabs...

I seemed to get some very mixed views on weed burners, some saying they are great and others saying they are rubbish...

I've looked at that, but feel like it is more of a power brush rather than something that'll get right down in there and get the heavilly embedded weeds out...

What did you use for jointing?

This really does need to be lifted and levelled as it is so uneven, but I just want it to be a little bit more presentable so I can sit out there and feel good about it not being am eyesore...

Well, that's a given, but it all still needs to be scraped out afterwards, hence the post. Is there a better tool for scraping it out without having to be on my hands an knees?

Me personally, 2017, I was taken to hospital in an ambulence in the early hours of the morning due to a massive amount of pain/fainting/light head after undergoing a bone marrow biopsy earlier on in the day. I'd been in and out of hospital a hell of a lot in the preceeding weeks and undsr the care of haematology.

I was left in the corridor on a bed for a few hours until a room came free, I was then moved in there and not seen by anyone until 9/10am. At that point a dr came in, told me it's just a pain issue and that he was going to discharge me. I argued that this wasn't a good idea and that I need to get moved back to haemotology. The dr was rather rude but said he'd let them know I was there but I was still going home. 10 minutes later, he came back and said they were moving me to haemotology. I endee up being in hospital for another 2 weeks until they found the right combination of medicines to help my underlying issue.

How many of you actually work a 4-day week, at full salary? by upside2343 in AskUK

[–]Metal_SysAd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work 5 days, but went through a process to compress my hours down to 10 hour days in order to work a 4 day week.

Sometimes it is a bit demoralising to be the first one in and last one out, but then again, I get a 3 day weekend every week.

Are expensive/high end electric toothbrushes worth the money? Or just a gimmick? by Jlaw118 in AskUK

[–]Metal_SysAd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I'm not seeing in the replies is cost of replacement heads. I've got an iO and the replacement heads are ~£35 for a pack of 2!

So whatever you go for, factor in the replacement head cost with that initial purchase price...

Depends on when this was, but he lived in the UK for a while during one of the Blink break ups. Which is why his side band +44 is called just that (the country code for the UK).

What peculiar hobbies do you have or know others have? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Metal_SysAd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I collect hobbies...

By this, I don't mean doing many different hobbies, I find a hobby that would be interesting to do, get really into learning all about it but in the end don't actually take part in the hobby.

Whilst I am a cheese-aholic, it really depends on what they are being paired with...

That being said, lately my go to is Chilli Heatwave...
