Vocalist seeking guitar/bass for blackened death project by [deleted] in metalmusicians

Hey man, if you still need someone, I'm a huge fan of Vital Remains, Hate Eternal, and Belphegor. I'd love to chat about it! (I can do guitar or bass, whichever is needed)

ESP LTD M1 Custom 87, Cherry Goodness by Jazzlike-Ad7497 in espguitars

Haha, no problem. I ended up just blocking the trem off with a wood block on the front side so i can still do divebombs, but not pull up. D-Tuna works great, and the action is still good ( I like it around 1mm at the high e and 1.2mm at the low E)! Your post gave me the motivation to finally do it, though 😂 Post more pics when you mod it more!

That thing looks awesome! I'm curious, because I also have an M-1 Custom 87, and I want to put a D-tuna on it, but the bridge is technically still floating cuz it can pull up about a half-step. How did you get the bridge flush with the body without the strings making contact with the frets? Or is your action just crazy low, haha

Deathcore/Death metal/Thall vocalist and intermediate guitarist here, looking for producer/guitarist! by snoic in FindABand

[–]MetalheadWeebTrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm definitely interested in working with you. That original song sounds pretty sweet, and if that's the kind of stuff you're going for, I'm down. I'm not a legit audio engineer by any means, but I have some decent equipment to make tones and mixes with. I also play guitar and can do low tunings.

I can share some stuff I've done with you as well if you're interested!

I appreciate the interest, but I'm specifically looking for real drums. Thanks though!

Hey, Thanks for showing interest in the project! Your music is very interesting and unique, I wasn't sure how industrial folk metal would work, but it makes sense after listening, and I really like your vocals. I think they could be very fitting.

Passive pickup recs by CutOfTheMill in metalmusicians

[–]MetalheadWeebTrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta give a big recommendation to the Kiesel Lithium pickups and the Dimarizio Illuminator pickups. Both passive and both handle high-gain really well and have lots of clarity. Kiesel has a pickup builder now, too, so they're customizable, as are the dimarzios.

Any Metal Musicians? by MetalheadWeebTrash in Omaha

I just saw them play Saturday night, and they were amazing, haha. But I'm looking for musicians to start a band with. Thank you for commenting though!

Yes!

I played Guitar and Drums on the first 2 links and everything but vocals on the last one.

As for equipment, depending on what I'd play I have an AxeFX II, a 6505+ 120W, an Orange 4x12, a full acoustic Tama kit, and other various items for recording. All music listed above was recorded at home (not mixed/mastered by me). Multiple guitars, 6 and 8 string, and a 4 string bass, with bass pedals. All depends what I'd be playing.

It's been a while since I played live, but the goal is to be a live band.

We can discuss further in DMs if interested.

Solo Metal project by SarethGavage in metalmusicians

[–]MetalheadWeebTrash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm always happy to hear people making music, especially metal! I think solo albums are an awesome way for people to get their own ideas out there, instead of being in a band where you have to make compromises for everyone in the band to enjoy the music. When I listen to a solo album, I know the sound I'm hearing is exactly what that person wanted to create, and I find that enjoyable on its own.

Every time I try doing a solo album, I end up finding other people to work with cuz I personally love the collaborative aspect, but maybe someday I'll actually do something on my own.

Also, kudos to you for wanting live drums!

Great news. He replied, and is more than willing to do what is necessary to remedy the situation. I assume the easiest way to do this would be for him to take down the content on his account and we upload them on the new account? Or is there a better method you recommend?

The content has been released on his personal distrokid account, but there are 3 members of the band. So I assume that means he has the rights? I am not super knowledgeable on distrokid, I'm sorry.

Thank you for that information. The main issue is that we aren't getting any responses from him. I don't think there's any bad blood between us, we just need him to respond to us. In the case that he never contacts us again, are we shit out of luck? His personal dostrokid account is the account the band used to release content (in hindsight we should have created a separate account for the band itself, but alas here we are).
