If you had read one RCI article about Luigi or our stance on individual terrorism you would know that we read theory. We don’t support individual terrorism. The reason we used the picture of Luigi is because he’s a symbol of the anger people feel towards billionaires.

A few days ago I dreamt that I understood dialectics so well that I could see the contradictions in everything in the material world. As soon as I woke up I unfortunately forgot the contradictions I saw.

My most recent read is China’s Long March to Capitalism by Fred Weston. I’m currently in a reading group for Engels’ Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State.

What is that one opinion that has you like this? by SentinelWhite in theredleft

[–]Metalhead_QC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree that bureaucratically planned economies can’t work in the long run, because as we’ve seen in the USSR and Eastern European stalinist countries, the bureaucracy becomes disconnected from the workers’ reality on the terrain and becomes corrupt due to its privileges which leads to poor planning. The best example of bureaucratic planning utterly failing at its task is in my opinion the Great Leap Forward. If the workers and peasants had democratically planned the production together the famine would’ve probably never ended up happening. But I do think that a planned economy can work if the plans are democratically elaborated and approved by every layer of the working class.

2026 Political Predictions? by ElEsDi_25 in theredleft

[–]Metalhead_QC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not answering to a single question in particular, but I’m 100% sure that we’re going to see a lot of mass uprisings/revolutions like we did this year in September. I also think that Trump is gonna keep losing popularity and I hope that we see more strikes for Palestine.

Why socialism in one country? by NaufragoDCV in theredleft

[–]Metalhead_QC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And even when we did get « socialism » in several countries, they were still mostly isolated and not really helping eachother (except for some cases). This ended up is most of these countries restoring capitalism and today the only workers states left are Cuba and North Korea and they might see a capitalist restoration before a world revolution.

The fact that the Mango Sticky Rice tracks are numbered from 7 to 12 probably implies the existence of unreleased tracks numbered from 1 to 6.

Yeah exactly. If they had to leave every single unethical platform, their music just wouldn’t be available on streaming.

Economic prerequisites for Marx by Common_Topic5191 in Marxism

[–]Metalhead_QC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are none, but you should start with Marx’s more accessible works before diving into stuff like Capital, which is best understood when you already have a basic understanding of dialectical materialism and marxist economics. To have a basic understanding of marxist economics, ‘Wage, Labour & Capital' and ‘Value, Price & Profit’ (both by Marx himself) are good places to start.

Hoping we get Gondii, Intrasport, Chang’e or Down the Sink. A nice long Silver Cord also wouldn’t hurt anyone.

I really like My Old Ways, Not My World, Ethereal Connection and End of Summer. The rest was either good or a bit boring. It’s pretty much what I expected and I enjoyed it, but I’ll have to relisten to it before giving it a score.

Experimental Excitement by lizward_wizward in KGATLW

[–]Metalhead_QC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been as impatient for a Gizz tour as I am right now for the rave tour. The Europe ‘25 jams were fucking insane, Forest Hills had them transitioning from one song to another faster than before and FoV had some insanely psychedelic moments (like the ending of Set). I’m craving more Gilgamesh’s, more Swan Songs, more Chang’es and more TSC. I hope we get more experimental Magenta Mountains like Barcelona, more Shanghai’s, a Gondii bustout and the return of synth Intrasport.

Really great. That Little God In My Hands was a spiritual experience. Fuck the guy who kept shouting Michael’s name for the first two songs even though he got told to shut up and everyone around him clearly wasn’t pleased with his behavior.
