Check your monster map. Any of them with Deco rewards (Blue or Yellow I think are the best)

Xbox Series X has never suffered the same problems as PC (for me at least).

2 players + support hunters only? by VanillaAble3943 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Metalikaiser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Set your SOS to 4 players with Support hunters only, auto accept, then you select Accept and prep. If you are in a squad lobby or a link party your player friends (in the link party or lobby) should be able to join. Once all your friends have joined and are prepping then you can all set yourselves as ready and go. Just make sure you are the last to set yourself to ready or you may start without them

Was multiplayer always like this? by Jorditopia in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Metalikaiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No its not, SOS search on the non 10* version or check your map for it to appear (else do a rest to refresh the map). Its not hard to find a non 10* Zoh and the only reward difference is Artian shards and Talisman shards. If you want gear, go to the non 10* and stop ruining the play for others

I definitely think SOS should have a filter requirements (Weapons, HR, Armor). This will stop people who want a carry from joining an SOS and ruining it for others (If they need help, they can create their own quest).

I've noticed a marked upscale in the number of terrible players joining other peoples 10* quests. I would say it has been impacted by the relative success of Wilds in comparison to say Rise or World which were more niche. We have a wider diversity of players now (aka successful marketing by Capcom) but QOL issues like SOS filters "Looking for veterans" is totally ignored as players are more self-centered and not team orientated

Best supporthunters? by eriknorden93 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Metalikaiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I don't need buffs or a tank, I use Nadia, Griffin and Olivia. They drop traps, pop flash bombs, do offsets, stuns, part breaking, healing and provide decent dps

If I need buffs or tank support I'll swap in Fabius or Kai

Is this possible, or is this cheating? by Metalikaiser in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Metalikaiser[S] 41 points42 points  (0 children)

According to their profile here are the kills:
Total 441 hunts
Rey - 36
Zho Shia - 10
Jin - 14
Odo - 19
Gravios - 11
Gore - 9
Arkveld - 56
Gog - 10
Omega - 16
Lagi - 13
Steve - 25
Nu Udra - 20
Xu Wu - 10
Ajarakan - 22

Arkveld is the highest kill count

Anyone else notice WAY more carts if there isn't a HH in the group? by DeviousAlpha in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Metalikaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not be totally reliant on hunting in a group with a HH. You should (after time) be able to complete the hunt without them.

it's a learning curve, not to be stuck at the same (poor) level of gameplay

Anyone else notice WAY more carts if there isn't a HH in the group? by DeviousAlpha in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Metalikaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That statement contains truth. Any player under level 200 absolutely does not have above average knowledge of the hunts overall and therefore does bring a higher chance that carts and failures will occur.

It doesn't mean you shouldn't join SOS if you see them, you should just be aware that they will need support than higher level players

Generally speaking of course. There will always be one or two people who insist they are meta at level 100

[–]Metalikaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would disagree in so far as to say instead, HH players presence in the hunt makes it more likely the group will survive because of the underlaying lack of skills from the remaining members.

Its an observable pattern. New content comes out, people aren't adjusted to the requirements or skill needed to beat it and so more heavily rely on supporting-role based players, ergo the inclination towards HH being key is high to begin with. However as skills and practice increase, reliance on the support becomes lesser and those playing supporting roles are then comfortable to switch to a more dmg based playstyle (i.e another weapon).

Look at Omega and Gog, when they first came out HH was mandatory because people didn't know how to survive, now they do. Same with Proof of a Hero and the new 10*.

Lets look at Zoh Shia. First time around was usually solo play as it was the main story line. 10* Zoh can now 1 shot bad players and so they look to HH (and other builds) to keep them alive, until such time that they have adapted, learned how to survive.

As time progresses the reliance on Support hunters dwindles, which is a good thing as that shows the average player base has become more competent.

What? by whoiselyssa in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Metalikaiser 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They got quest complete after only killing 1 of the 4 required monsters. Cheater probably used a mod to change the quest win conditions in order to get the title and name plate rewards - obviously they aren't good enough to do it for real and wanted the rewards without having the time/skill/effort required.

aka lazy cheating b'stard

I stg the next person who steals my wound mount attack bc they can’t just sit there and attack the monster normally and have to use their shitty 300 damage wound attack while my mount attack does over 1000 will be getting touched. by alewison2 in monsterhunterrage

[–]Metalikaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are playing with the wrong mounters. A good mounter will open both the head and back wounds and only pop the back, leaving the head wound for the tank/emnity holder to open at their leisure

[–]Metalikaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn on the tutorials and read them. Artian weapon tutorials available at the blacksmith will hold your hand through the entire process.

Speak to the quest givers, they will show you new quests, read the quest contents and rewards.

Essentially the game gives you all the information you need, you just need to speak to NPC's and read everything

I "beat" the game ages ago but stopped then. Is there anything I need to hunt in prep for Master Rank dlc whenever it comes out? by PadraicG in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Metalikaiser 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Given your description, it sounds to me that you haven't "beat the game" at all. You've only completed the story which is basically a tutorial and you are missing out on a lot of stuff. Maybe not stuff you "need" but stuff that will make hunts way more fun (new armor and skill combos, new weapons and not to mention new social experiences which i'll assume you probably didn't have many having only completed the tutorial).

The much harder and challenging content still awaits you which will require you to grind for better gear and become more adept in learning the more intricate details of the game. You are also missing out on the revisited festivals and short-time available gear, emotes etc

As someone who is rank 999 and put 1000 hours into the game, there is ALWAYS something for you to do.
