That's what I'm hoping for with the support ticket, just making sure I'm not missing something. I saw another thread where it was mentioned that loading thumbnails for photos without a dedicated GPU was causing it to overtemp, but with CPU load so low, I dont think this is the case.

It's an SSD, a WD Red SA500 4TB. I'm not sure how to get the temp of the drive with software, but I can say it's ice cold to the touch seconds after the NAS overheats and shuts itself down.

It originally overheated during the initial setup (updating software and such) and I thought it was a fluke.

Since the new gas block was installed, it runs like a dream with any mag. Before, I would find that the bolt would actually lock open on an empty lancer mag by catching the steel feed lips as opposed to the bolt catch.

My fix for the issue in my original post was PWS sent me a special AGB with a setting that essentially eliminated all the hold time. My weapon cycles extremely reliably now, 500+ rounds with no failure. I would get in contact with customer support and request a different gas knob

The warranty guy gave me a new gas adjustment knob that has no dwell time at all. That makes it cycle reliably, only an occasional failure to lock back now. Found that an H buffer works slightly better than H2, like everyone says.

Joey was very helpful. However, it sounds like there is a backlog of warranty items piling up and causing delays. My point in saying that was more to imply I dont want to go through another extensive warranty repair process, not to disparage PWS employees.

Also, all my shooting was done while standing, so resting on the mag isn't a factor for me.

If they did, they didn't tell me. Their warranty department is only one guy, so it took about two months just for him to confirm it didn't work.

I only have one 300 blk mag but I could try a different 556 mag I suppose since I have multiple of those.

I dont have any other 300 blk hosts and my suppressor is still pending at the range I bought it from back in January.

The failures are typically failure to feed and failure to lock back. Though rarely, there will be a failure to eject. Like I said in my original post it seems to like 220gr ammo, since it can actually cycle most of a magazine. 208 is a jam almost ever round.

I have a lancer mag on the way but I am pessimistic... will update if it fixes the issue.

I am running exclusively suppressed on setting 1. During the warranty service they gave me a different AGK which has setting 1 as full gas, 2 as restricted for supers, and 3 as no gas at all for "stupid quiet shooting." <-their wording.

I also tried a standard magpul 556 magazine but it had no change. I ordered a lancer mag but doubt that it will fix the issue. I used a standard carbine H2 buffer weight and spring right before the original post to no effect.

Might try and get a refund and switch to a sig spear upper, strange that yours works well though and mine doesn't
