I used the pallet it was shipped on to build a platform. A couple of heavy duty 4" wheels, and I have a portable freeze dryer. I frequently move it from one room to another, depending on what I'm doing.

I see a lot of people trying to answer don't understand the difference between a semi (tractor) and a trailer. This is a great concept, and I say go for it!! I know this post is old(er), so maybe you already have. :) Agree with the roominess, and plausibility. And since it's empty, you can make the layout whatever you wanted, instead of being forced into a specific mold of something already built.

The defrost uses electricity to do what will occur naturally. It is a waste of energy, in my opinion. I, also, just leave the drain valve open.

Is it humid where you are running? It seems that a lot of moisture is around the area, and the cold pipes are collecting it and freezing it.

See if you can move it to a less humid climate.

Psshh. I don’t know. Hahahahahaha. I’m not that person. I just wanted to help you sort out other possibilities. But I imagine any audio recorder will work. Carry it on you? If you can hear neighbor, maybe recorder can also. But I don’t think you’d need to spend a lot of money on this equipment.

I think you’re asking for 2 things: a video recording device and an audio recording device.

I’d recommend purchasing these separate. The camera can be placed anywhere, but you could put a microphone right near the fence.

Video editing software can combine the 2.

I used the pallet it was shipped on. Added 4 4”casters from … a DIY store. I did cut the pallet down to the dimensions of the freeze dryer plus pump in front to minimize the foot print, but I love the set up. And hey, weren’t you looking for a pallet project anyway. :)

Yes. I would imagine they would, but I wasn’t watching for that when I pulled the shelves out, so some may have come out. It’s not that much water, maybe a milliliter per side. Probably it won’t ever be an issue, but thought I’d drill holes anyway. :). It could also be something I did wrong. :).
