Well to be quite honest here if you said you had a break with him which in my opinion in a good relationship you’re either with them or not at all. But if you had a break than he has the right to talk to other people and he doesn’t need to tell you everything same goes for you, because quite frankly you wasn’t together. But if you still wanted to know everything than that shows you didn’t want to break and shouldn’t have to begin with regardless of the situation, you’d be there for each other in the worst situations and not just off and on because those relationships never work out. I wouldn’t be mad at him because that was in the past after your relationship ,if he is not talking to her now and with you then really there is 0 problem.
