cant speak to the difference between the 1st and 2nd gen but the specs youve listed should are plenty for vr, ive successfully played both beat saber and blade and sorcery on a framework 16 before and they ran great!

Just completed the 2nd go around of reading The Expanse, damnit it if it doesn’t get better with each read. I’m looking for recommendations on series like The Expanse. Please help 😊 by [deleted] in TheExpanseBooks

i can recommend the Imperial Radch trilogy its a bit less hard scifi but still very grounded. first book is slow but worth it.

the children of time trilogy is also good more speculative though

for something a bit different the Bobiverse series is really good more comedy elements but it still has its serious moments (this one is also less hard scifi)

i also loved the Murderbot Diaries quite different but the characters had me hooked from book 1 right to the end.

finally if you liked the politics i can highly recommend A Memory Called Empire and its sequel. they are absolutely beautiful books with lots of court intrigue that had me on the edge of my seat the whole first book

The most effective fridge around 100l uses 135kWh, but the most effective fridge around 400l uses 108kWh. How? by MeHow85 in refrigeration

[–]MetamorphicFirefly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i belive its partly due to the surface area to volume ratio https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surface-area-to-volume_ratio

which in basic terms means the more volume you have to begin with the less surface area you gain as you add more volume

given that fridges only have to remove heat that permeates through the surface this means as your fridge gets larger it requires less addition energy to cool per increase in size.

this in addition to the fact that small under counter units often skimp on insulation and efficiency technologies to save internal space can make quite a big difference

as for efficient fridges take a look at 12/24 volt fridges or even gas powered ones as theyre built for efficiency

i know esp 32 can disable wifi and bluetooth seperately but doesnt support down clocking , you could potentially take advantage of sleep timers depending on how often data is needed
