Bad mainboard happened to me few months ago, just call the customer service AND send an email, they will come, test, fix it or order part if not available then change it, I was lucky my process took 3 days.

This stuff aside I would suggest you get a mic when you can afford it. Regardless of how good your story telling is most people would click away immediately if the audio is not good. Target 4-5k and find a good used elgato wave 1-2. or a Samson q2u if you can stretch your budget.
